"We set an appointment with Adam from A1 sewer to have a sewer camera inspection for a home we were considering purchasing. Before the scheduled time Adam contacted us to ask if we were paying for the inspection or if the seller was. Against his own interests he told us that in the area we were considering purchasing the seller is required to provide a sewer inspection, a fact our realtor failed to inform us of. This may have cost him our business on this home but went a long way in gaining our trust. We did not end up purchasing the home, but when we put our next offer in we will be using A1 because they showed that they have our best interest at heart. I look forward to doing business with them in the near future."

"McVay Plumbing is honest and provides timely service in a very professional manner with a truly fair price. They are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me. Here's what happened: After having a clogged toilet (only one in the house) sewer line on Thursday evening 5/8/2020, we called various plumbers. Gillece plumbing arrived Friday afternoon, gave a quote of $800.00 and sent a technician Saturday. Then they told us we had a broken pipe under the concrete floor and it would cost $5100.00 more to jackhammer the floor and repair it. We threw them out and contacted McVay, who sent their plumber (Devon) who snaked and inspected the pipe and found NO broken pipe, only a "soft" clog. It was remediated for $275.00. There you have it. Trust McVay! James H. May 13, 2020"

"We had a big job to do and took a chance hiring a plumber through Angie's List, since we didn't know any. This was a great choice. My first contact was with Lori when I called. Pleasant and knowledgeable. Set up an appointment for Jay to come to our home and discuss what we wanted done. He arrived with Joe. My husband discussed the project and we set up the date for the work to be done. Arrived as was scheduled. Jay, Joe and Craig worked with us with changes and additions to the original plan. Never complaining. Some of the changes added to the project price but that was announced right up front. This job was to hook us up to the public sewer line that our borough installed a few years ago. We had a huge sump hole in our basement that took on the washing machine water and the utility tub water. And since there was no public sewer system in our area when we built, a sump pump was our only option to get water out of the basement. They jack hammered approx. 30 ft of basement floor and dug about a 20-25 ft ditch (approx. 6 ft deep) in our yard to run the gravity flow line. They rerouted a drain that came from the main floor kitchen and bath and added a trap to the basement floor drain. They closed off an additional drain that was set up for a future bathroom which will never be added. They removed and took with them our sump pump and a 3/4 inch thick, 4 ft x 3 ft (approx.) steel lid (seemed like 200 lbs) that covered the sump hole. This is another reason for the new sewer line. We are getting too old to lift this to change the sump pump. By the way this was all done with the guys going through our main floor to get to the basement as we have no outside entrance to the basement. Through all of this work they, all 3, were respectful of our home and us, pleasant to work with and a lot of fun. By the time they finished there was no debris left in the basement. Just a lot of dust which we knew to expect with all the jack hammering and digging they did. I would highly, highly recommend these people. You will never be sorry you did. I love Angie's List."

"Frank does good work and is honest. It is just him doing the work and taking calls and not a fleet of plumbers behind a front desk. He is a master plumber and his prices reflect that experience. He is responsive and gave me a quote before doing the work. I have also since contacted him about additional plumbing related questions and he was able to help guide me toward contacting the county about my sanitary sewer test records. He was under no obligation to help me, but he did so anyway. Unfortunately the work that I need done may require snaking a camera which is equipment that Frank does not have."

"Two days ago I noticed the stench of death in our basement. We figured an animal had died in the wall, but then my wife noticed a small puddle of blood next to the water heater in the basement. Obviously, a small animal had got caught in there and died. <br /> The first plumber I called told me to call a chimney sweep. The second one told me to call an exterminator. <br /> Thank god I called Park Plumbing. Mike answered and said he'd check with his boss to see if they do dead animal removals from water tank exhaust pipes. He called back within a half-hour & said yes and they could come out today! Said unless it was a bigger deal than just that, it would be the normal service call price of about $100. <br /> Mike ran a little late due to all the broken water pipe jobs from the recent "polar vortex" and sub-sub-zero temps we had last week, but that was fine with us, as we were just so thankful that they were able to come the same day to remove the animal because the stench was becoming unbearable and was permeating the whole house. <br /> Long story short, apparently the "polar vortex" caused a huge (at least 2 1/2 pounds) squirrel to try to get warm by coming down the exhaust vent. Mike pulled the poor thing out and we disposed of it and he re-attached the exhaust piping. <br /> After that ordeal, he also checked this & that and pointed out some minor things that should be taken care of (old water valve needs replaced, main water valve leaks, etc) and suggested we call later to schedule another appt to take care of those things. <br /> He gave us the bill and it turned out to be only $85 and he gave us the 5% Angies List discount for a total of $80. <br /> Overall, we could not be more pleased with the service and Mike in particular. He was very professional, responsive and did what had to be done to solve a very nasty problem. <br /> All we can say is, we found our plumber for any future jobs!"

"Try-County Plumbing has done multiple jobs for us over many years and we are always happy with their work. They’ve done several plumbing repairs (our house is older), installed a hot water heater, and replaced a portion of our external sewer line. Bob, the owner, is thorough and patiently explains what needs to be done and answers all of our questions. He works hard and even cleans up when he’s done. We’ve always found his prices to be very reasonable. We have recommended Try-County Plumbing to family and friends and will continue to do so."

"Adam did a great job replacing our water heater. He was easy to get a hold of, arrived on time, and was very professional throughout the appointment. We needed his assistance on three occasions. The first was to replace a main shutoff valve in our home. This was not an easy job since it was close to our wall, but he did a great job nonetheless with no issues. We also had him replace our water heater and clean our house trap. Overall, I think his pricing was very fair and competitive with others in the area. The house trap cleaning was right on par with the bigger businesses like Roto Rooter."

"Drains in basement were backing up with sewage. I called and left information with someone and received a return call within a couple hours.  They came to the house within a day. We did not know where our septic tank was as this was a recently purchased old home with no records. They spent time helping to locate it and dug until they found the access to the tank. The tank was then pumped out and they attempted to snake back into the house because the water flow was still slow. Although the problem was not completed resolved they stated someone else from their company could come out and attempt to clear drain. The problem resolved shortly after that so we did not have them come back. The two young men that came to the house were polite and professional. <br />"

"Very well. Drew (technician) was prompt, efficient and friendly. He clearly explained what he was doing and patiently answered all questions. While working on the water heater, he noted an odor coming from the furnace which was in close proximity. The odor was determined to be caused by a rather significant carbon monoxide leak from the furnace. Unfortunately this required that our furnace be replaced, but we are thankful to Drew that he discovered the problem."
