"Gutknecht Heating and Cooling was simply AWESOME!!! Our 20 year old central air system was running on it's last leg, so I called them to come give us a quote. Jon (the owner) promptly came out and quickly evaluated our existing system. Jon is extremely knowledgeable & experienced with HVAC systems & gave us a couple of recommendations & quotes. One for replacing the condenser & evaporator coil, and one for replacing those parts as well as the furnace. Obviously, the 2nd quote was more expensive, and Jon explained the pros/cons of each in regards to efficiency and cost, so me and my wife could make an informed decision. We eventually opted to have the entire system replaced (furnace and all), due to the age of our existing system and relatively small difference in price between the 2 quotes. The whole process was extremely easy due to Jon's knowledge, no pressure approach & transparency in pricing his quotes. In fact, it was so much so that me and my wife didn't even bother to get a second quote after talking to Jon. He didn't try to sell us equipment & services that we didn't need, and firmly stands by the quality of his work and the materials he used when installing the new system.
