"Did you know mildew is the gas given off from mold?? Joe offered great advice about the growth of mildew into mold, and my landlord's responsibility to remove it. I feel that he is knowledgable and would perform a thorough inspection. Based on my present economics and quotes from 2 other firms, and not to discount Mold Testing CO at all, I decided on another company. Joe at Mold Testing CO is definitely my second choice."

"The sales man did pressure us to buy on the first visit because the 20% off would expire that day! The sales guy had moved over from Champion Windows and was some what new to Anderson. He did call his manager to find out the procedure and cost to repair the mold damage. The estimated wait to do the work was 8 weeks. The install manager visited and measured about 4 weeks later and then two weeks later the install crew came out on Nov 11, 2017. The work was excellent and the weather cooperated this fall. Since we were home, the crew would invite us out to see different steps in the build such as the flashing and were careful with our floors, and furnature. The crew carefully cleaned up and explained the working of the windows. We had been told that the job did NOT include painting and my son and I were able to complete priming and painting in about a week of good weather!"

"My total experience with Asbestos Professionals was outstanding. They were responsive in coming out to provide a quote. Their price was reasonable compared to others. They saved me some money by indicating that certain surfaces could be treated differently. They were flexible in their start times to do the work. The team was professional and punctual and the work was thorough. While this is a messy job, they left my space very clean. They did a good job of explaining issues to be. I highly recommend them!"

"I walked around with the inspector and for the most part was not overwhelmed by his inspection or responsiveness to questions. In fact he said something like: "I'll answer questions but not really say anything else as I go along." He failed to check all of the outlets, if he had he would have noted that the switched outlet in the living room sparks. He failed to note that there was a grading issue on the side of the yard next to a basement window well - if he had we could have re-graded and prevented the flood we had a week and a half after moving in. He also failed to note that the master shower drain was physically plugged with an Oatey mechanical plug. Had this been noted we could have asked the homeowner to open it - and having done so we would have discovered that the shower has no trap and needs to have a plumber come, cut a hole in the basement ceiling and fix it. Not cheap. All of these things should have been caught. They also failed to use a Infra-Red camera to look for insulation issues. We had an energy audit from the City of Loveland in which they used one, there are issues with insulation in the sun room as well that should have been caught on the original inspection.
To top things off when I called their office on July 1st. in response to a follow up email I was assured that they would contact me. I am still waiting.

July 3 - The owner called to let me know he had been out of town (which the office did not mention) and was very concerned and we agreed to discuss the matter after the holiday. More to come later...

The owner did call, was very pleasant and sorry about the missed items. As their policy limits them to compensation equal to what you spend on the inspection that is all they will shell out. So if you have significant damages from something they missed they will not pay for that. He did refund the entire amount of the inspection."

FAQs for mold & toxic material test projects in Livermore, CO

Some companies offer a no‑cost phone or video consultation that screens for red flags. If the discussion points to a real issue, the pro will recommend a paid on‑site inspection. The complimentary call clarifies whether you need full testing, but it isn’t a substitute for samples, lab work, or a written report. Always confirm what the free service covers before you schedule.

A standard inspection, which includes basic air and surface samples, takes an average of two hours. If the pro needs to probe hidden spaces, such as wall cavities or ductwork, plan on up to six hours. Extra time allows the inspector to reach tight areas, collect additional samples, and document findings. Lab analysis is a separate process and often adds several business days to the overall timeframe before you receive the full report.

Mold thrives where moisture lingers and air flow is poor. Common hotspots include bathroom walls, kitchen backsplashes, window sills, HVAC vents, fireplaces, crawl spaces, and enclosed attics. Check these areas regularly—especially after leaks or high‑humidity weather—to catch growth early and avoid costly repairs.

Unchecked mold can knock 20% to 37% off a home’s market value because buyers worry about hidden damage and health risks. Even after remediation, visible staining or a history of major moisture issues can still lower offers and prolong the time on the market. Addressing mold quickly protects both your property’s structural integrity and its resale appeal.
