"After purchasing our new home and enduring an especially cold and snowy winter, we noticed that water was collecting in our gutters and seeping into the drywall. This turned out to be the result of an improperly installed roof edge that would not allow snow and water to be pushed away from the house. We contacted Virtuous Roofing and asked if they could send someone over to review. They responded almost immediately and had a crew inspecting our roof the next day. The boss, Edgar, personally reached out to confirm the arrival of his crew. He even delivered the materials to fix the roof himself! Edgar took the time to show how his crew had replaced the roof under the guidance of the previous owner. The next day, the crew was back and quickly installed the new roof edge. They were very easy to communicate with, and under Edgar's guidance, I feel like we are in good hands should anything else come up with our roof and gutters!"

"Have had Leafguard gutters on my house for several years. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Yes, they keep the leaves out of the gutters, but they are an absolute freaking nightmare in the winter - icicle build-up like you can't believe! Not one other house in my subdivision has icicles but then none of them have Leafguard gutters either. I have a detached garage, and the gutters and resulting icicles cause solid ice on the the sidewalk between the house and garage. I had Leafguard come out a couple years ago to look at the problem and they told me its because the cold air runs under the Leafguard, as well as above it - similar to what happens with a road bridge. So when the sun hits the snow on your roof and it starts to melt (even in below freezing temps), the water freezes on the Leafguard and doesn't go over the lip into the gutter. Leaguard's solution after they came out and looked at what is happening was to recommend spending a few thousand more dollars to put a heating coil on their gutters, and even then they wouldn't guarantee this would solve the problem. I'm seriously considering having them come out and remove the ones between the house and garage."

The work they provided included complete window replacement, and exterior siding, trim, soffits & facia on our main house as well as a small cottage/guest house and full gutter replacement. The original siding was installed 30 years ago and was in sad shape - and underneath there was a lot of the old celotex sheathing. We contracted with NLE to replace the old siding with James Hardie materials (lap siding and a small amount of board & batten over the third-floor attic spaces), replace the celotex with a structural sheathing and upgrade the wall insulation. The entire project seemed daunting to us, but NLE handled every aspect with ease, professionalism, outstanding customer service and communication. To say that we are extremely pleased would in itself be a great understatement. Technically, all of the crews (windows, siding, gutters) did an excellent job with a very high level of attention to detail and all of the finishing touches you hope you will see at job completion. Far from just trying to "get the work done to get to the next job", they worked diligently to make our home and property truly stand out and beautiful. Despite several days in the mid-90’s, the crews seemed to handle it with ease. The office staff was very helpful for all aspects of early planning, change orders (which were all handled with ease), payments, and general communication with scheduling and answering questions.
