"We went to them because they were a Kraftmade dealer. The lender we worked with said that they seemed to know what they were doing and thought they'd be a good choice. We were very happy with Stan, his ideas were good ones. He worked with our origianl plan and tweaked it a bit so that it'd be more efficient and more cost effective. I do feel he didn't explain everything as well as we'd have liked, but at the time I didn't know enough about the process to ask the right questions. ie What's the difference between 'all plywood construction' and whatever was the step-down construction option. I didn't realize there even WAS a step down option. He sold us 'furniture ends' which we assumed was just another advantage of using Kraftmade, we didn't realize it was an upgrade that ultimately we don't care for and paid $500 extra to have. All in all though, I'd go back, I'd just be a more savvy cabinet buyer and ask LOTS of questions. <br />"

"During the 2nd half of 2018 we had a major remodel done on our 27 year old home that included a complete overhaul of our kitchen, dining room, master bath, hall bath, ½ bath, and a laundry room. In most of these areas we had our original red oak cabinets that, while still solid and functional, had long ago lost their appeal. So, we decided to replace them all during our project with Spivey Remodeling. The folks at Spivey recommended we speak to Tom Carter of Carter Cabinets who had done quite a bit of work with them over the years. Coincidentally, we lived less than five miles from Tom’s showroom, so visiting was always convenient. And Tom made it easy, since he was always available on weekend or early evening to drop by his showroom. He was very patient with us while we mulled over one of the biggest decisions we had to make in a couple decades, that is, the color and style of the cabinets. This is a huge investment and was singularly the largest cost item in our project, so we wanted to be sure before committing. Using the selection options Tom had at his showroom, we decided on off-white modified Shaker-style cabinets for our kitchen, laundry and ½ bath. We selected a dark stained maple with a somewhat more upscale 5-pc mitered drawer and cabinet fronts for the master and hall baths. All of Tom’s cabinets are custom-made by Amish craftsmen in southern Indiana. There were many options available for things like roll-outs, knife drawers, spice drawers, etc., and built-in roll-out dual trash bins, which we love. They have a very nice crown-mould around the top where the cabinets meet the ceiling and another trim piece at the bottom edge of the cabinet uppers that really add a high-quality feel to them. The joints on all of the cabinets, doors and drawers are tight, the finish is very smooth, and they look terrific in all of our spaces. We’re very happy with the cabinets in all of our spaces and they’ve completely changed the look of our rooms. These are very high quality cabinets that would work well in any home. We recommend Carter Cabinets and are very pleased to have their products in our home."

We let Alisa chose the paint color and hardware and her selections were spot on, she has beautiful taste and completely understood the look I wanted to achieve. Some problems with installation; cabinets to the left and right of a window hung at different dimensions from the window, sink base cabinets not centered perfectly to the window (not noticeable without measuring), stove is not centered to the uppers so was unable to do a herringbone square over the stove, uppers hung at slightly different heights also not noticeable until we installed the backsplash. Contacted Alisa to have 2 cabinets lowered on March 6th but to-date (March 18th) have not had a response. We finally designed our own solution but for the money paid, felt as tho the job should have been completed to our satisfaction."
