"In the late Spring of this year, Mike van de Bossche and his crew at Earth-Wood Arts created a new hardscape (whole new porch, steps, walks) with pavers and a beautiful new landscape in the front of our house, designed and installed to match and complement the work previously done by them (2012 ) in the back of our house.  They included dramatic outdoor lighting as part of the landscaping and completely changed the look of the house, day and night
Mike has a good eye and gave us good advice on design. Neither the front nor the previously done back was a particularly easy space to revamp. There was a lot of tear-out work that was done very well, quickly, and cleaned up after.  Earth-Wood Arts' crew is a fine group of people to have around, polite, professional, and collaborative.  We had a plan in the fall of 2013, but in early Spring 2014, Mike spontaneously brought us a completely new plan and told us he had given his original plan a lot of thought and believed it could be done with a much better aesthetic outcome, still working within the budget he knew we had.  We agreed and bought the new plan in its entirety.  
The pavers, landscaping, hardscape design and installation, and lighting in front and back are now all complementary.  We get compliments on the new work from almost everyone who visits our house.  We have enjoyed the fire pit, and the extremely low maintenance landscape design in the front not only looks great, it requires almost nothing from us to maintain.
Mike or his top representative showed up at every critical juncture, just as they did with previous work.  When some designated plant material was unavailable, their expertise allowed for substitutions that are just as beautiful and achieved the desired look as well as the original plan would have done.  When some plants looked less robust than the others, Earthwood removed and replaced them on their own in order to assure a good outcome.  The drainage and downspout runoff has always been a problem and they design and installed a new French drain system that solved a 25 year-old problem. It is a beautiful installation.
You can probably pay less, but I think Mike and his crew's years of experience were were important and worth paying for given some of the uneven elevations and drainage issues on the site that they solved, and I feel that the pricing was very appropriate to the service, design work, efficient and professional installation of the hardscape, pavers, outdoor lighting and landscape."

"Thank you Start to Finish for making my house look beautiful. I contracted with this company almost a year ago, I was a client of Lawn Pride for almost 8 years. I don't regret the change at all. They are a great company, with solid values. They put the customer first, and their expertise and professionalism is subpar. I have used three different services from S2F, and I am extremely satisfied with the results. 1. They provide maintenance for my lawn, the combination of products they use is just perfect for my lawn, my grass is green, healthy and free of weeds. The technician is courteous and professional, he takes the time to put his machine through the small gate in the fenced backyard. He hasn't hit it once. Kudos for a great maneuvering skills. 2. Last year, I met with Cameron, and we talked about outdoor lighting. He recommended a set of Bluetooth color changing lights. As you can see from the pictures, you can seamlessly change the lighting colors from your phone. There is a huge array of colors, with the option of alternating the scene with up to three different colors. The installation was quick and efficient and the product worked right away. They have a very good warranty and don't consume a lot of energy. The price was reasonable and scheduling was very quick, even in the middle of January. 3. This spring, they mulched and cleaned my mulch beds for the first time ever, I have always done this myself thinking I can cut costs. It is totally worth it to let professionals do this. As you can see from the pictures, the level of detail in every mulch bed is something I can't achieve. They also buried the downspouts, this helps tremendously to control water from coming in the basement. This was done two weeks ago, and you can't notice the cuts in the grass anymore. The price was reasonable, and the work was done very well. Overall, I give Start to Finish a 5 out of 5 in every aspect of their work. "Innovative Garages did an AMAZING job on my garage floor! This included all floor preparation with an industrial diamond concrete grinder, repaired a damaged floor drain area and a large crack across my entire floor. The entire project took less than 2 full days. They also gave me the use of a storage trailer to store all my stuff while they did the work on the floor and even let me keep the trailer another five days while I had my garage walls and ceilings painted. I strongly recommend Innovative Garages if you're considering having your concrete garage floor repaired and looking beautiful. "Jason and his crew hand dug the entire project. They removed the railroad ties (a feat in itself since they were extremely heavy) and dug into the hillside to form a terraced base to support landscaping blocks. The steep slope they worked on was full of bedrock, gravel and large rocks, heavy clay soil, and "the most snake holes" they had ever run across. They built up the foundation with the blocks and filled in the new area with very small pea-sized gravel, which when compacted acts as a solid service. In order to bring the different sized gravels down to the project area, Jason had to haul the gravel in a trailer down an extremely steep driveway by carefully going down backwards. He did a great job! When you meet Jason, you can't help but like his happy and positive personality and have confidence in his solution for your problem. His crew was very respectful of both our family and of their boss. We requested some additional work, which he gladly agreed to do by just adding labor costs. I would definitely hire him again. In fact, he is doing some work for us later this fall. I might mention that he was a couple weeks behind when he said the project would be started, but that was because there had been a rainy spell, which meant delays for whatever project he was currently working on. He gives you his best, which is excellent.

My problem was that my sump was running often most seasons of the year, and dumping water into the side yard where it would run down a shallow valley in my lawn and over the public sidewalk. It has been a constant source of erosion, poor lawn, soft and muddy ground especially in the spring, and even ice covering my sidewalk in cold weather. I was not allowed by the city of Noblesville to connect my sump overflow to the storm sewer. I could not send the water off my property to be a problem for a neighbor either, of course.
I had done some research and developed an idea for a dry well to receive the water. I contacted several companies in Angies List that were landscapers or dealt with water drainage problems. After all was said and done, "My personal gardener" not only grasped the problem and the necessary solution, but gave me a very reasonable estimate for the solution.
George and his assistant dug a hole 4x4 feet square, and 5 feet deep. They cut the sod off first, and set it aside to be replaced later. George used a mini-backhoe to do the real digging, and it dug the hole quickly even through hard blue clay.  An empty 55 gallon drum was placed in the hole--the plastic drum had many holes drilled through the sides and bottom. The purpose of the drum was to receive the water directly from the sump and then allow it to disperse into the larger area underground. The 4x4x5 foot hole was filled (around the drum) with round gravel. Some kind of landscaping cloth was also placed over the gravel, then a layer of topsoil, and then the sod was placed back on top. The finished product was rolled and now the ground is the same level as it was before. 
Even if the water is slow dispersing into the subsoil, the dry well can receive about 250-300 gallons of water before it overflows, if it ever does. I anticipate that my yard erosion problem and sidewalk damage problems are now over. George and his assistant placed the dirt that was taken from the hole in various locations around the foundation of my house (at my request), where the ground had settled and too much foundation was exposed. He did not charge for this extra service.
It took a good half day of work for two men to do this job, and heavy equipment was used, and all materials including landscaping cloth, 2-3 yards of gravel, plastic drum, pipe fittings, etc., were all included in the job quote, which I thought was more than fair, in fact, a bargain.
According to Angies List, My Personal Gardener also offers plants for 25% off for members, so I am having George put in some plants for me in a larger landscaping project. I am trusting that it will go just as well. I have not been acquainted with this George and "My Personal Gardener" before this project, but I feel fortunate to have found him.
