"The polishing went very well! Trey and his helper worked great together to do polish testing and then when the polishing was through, put a grout paint in place that really spiffed up the whole area. Trey was prompt, polite and knew his craft. He left us with some cleaner and touchup grout paint. We would definitely use his services again."

"It was fantastic. One of the few companies that goes above and beyond. They always cleaned up after themselves. Their customer service was fantastic. Quality of the work was beautiful. They come to check their work."

"Sir Grout cleaned, sealed, and transformed the gross bathroom tiles in a home I recently purchased. They made everything look fantastic and I am now all good to walk barefoot in my newly clean bathroom. Sir Grout also removed the yucky mildewy silicon sealant and replaced it with grout. Recommend 10/10."

"We were very happy with our experience using Great Grout Tile Care.  Giovanni and his crew were friendly and professional.  They cleaned and sealed the grout on a fairly large tile floor and the floor looks brand new again.  I would recommend this company to others. <br>"

"<p>We had 3 bids all through Angie's List, one of the companies Granite Outlet II that  we had used before. The other two bids were from Solid Stone Fab. and KAT Fab<br /> <br />Most of the bids were similar, except all of the companies provided different prices for removal, sink cutout, plumbing for rehook-up of sink, and rehooking up stove top.</p> <p>Granite Outlet II had a plumber in-house. Solid Stone had a recommendation for a plumber and KAT didn't provide a recommendation. </p> <p>We kept our backslash and KAT was the only company that had an issue with cutting it down if needed. And it was cut to allow for the quartz. </p> <p>We chose Solid Stone Fabricators because we trusted Claudia to do a good job for us. She was very attuned to our needs and anytime we asked her a question if she didn't already know it she got right back with us. She took good notes and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. She was very professional and a pleasure to work with. We went to see the where the countertops were fabricated at Solid Stone and we also went to Cambria Quartz in Carrollton and looked at the Quartz we wanted and received large samples there.</p> <p>They came out and measured and showed up on time, then we scheduled for the install.</p> <p>The installers showed up at their scheduled time and finished in less then 5 hours. The next morning the plumber came and hooked the sink and stove back up. </p> <p>Claudia came out a few days later and bought us our extra quartz. its VERY heavy but we wanted to keep it and they also made us a cutting board.</p> <p>I LOVE MY COUNTERTOPS AND NEW GRANITE SINK!<br /> <br /></p> <br />"

"They were not equipped to clean shower grout and tile and did not do a satisfactory job. Had to hire another grout and tile company to re-do the job. Great Grout, on the other hand, did a great job. <br />"

"Patrick was very professional and courteous and completely understood our bad experience with the previous installer.  <br /> He was patient and took the time to answer all of our questions.  The day of the installation, Patrick came out with his contractor who <br /> completed the work.  Both he and the contractor took lots of time to assess the work, answer questions and explain everything in detail. I was especially impressed that they decided to not use a saw to remove the old wood and instead removed it all by hand because it would create less dust since I told them I was allergic to dust and wanted everything covered in plastic.  This was extra manual labor that they took upon themselves to do.  As the work was being completed, Patrick was continuously involving me in the decisions as they came across situations or questions.  In the end, they cleaned up the mess and walked through the final results with us to be sure we were happy.  We had a wonderful experience and our stairs are now more stable and look beautiful.  We would recommend Name Your Floor again. <br />"

"John Creswell performed the cleaning and sealing of all my new tile floors and grout inside and outside of my home, as well as the cleaning of all the floors (carpet and tile) of my previous rental home.  The grout was painstakingly hand sealed with a substance that was similar to paint that matched the grout color perfectly and prevents dirt and oils from penetrating the porous surface of the grout.  Cleaning the tile floors and grout is very simple and easy now - no hard scrubbing on hands and knees to remove dirt from grout lines.  I am also using some of Mr. Creswell's cleaning agents and tools and am very happy with everything. <br /> Mr. Creswell is a very professional and thorough stone and tile care specialist.  His work has made my home prettier and easier to clean.  I recommend him very highly. <br />"

FAQs for tile, stone, marble clean, grout, polish and maintain service projects in Lockhart, TX

Sealing grout delivers excellent value by creating a moisture barrier that prevents water penetration, staining, and deterioration. Unsealed grout becomes a magnet for dirt and moisture, which can lead to discoloration, mold growth, and eventual breakdown of the grout structure. Regular sealing maintenance creates a protective barrier that not only preserves your tile's appearance but also simplifies routine cleaning and extends the overall lifespan of your installation.

When combining professional grout cleaning with sealing services, expect to pay between $3 and $4 per square foot for challenging surfaces like natural stone or heavily soiled areas. This comprehensive approach ensures your grout is thoroughly cleaned before sealer application, maximizing the effectiveness and longevity of the treatment. The cleaning process removes embedded dirt and contaminants that might otherwise become sealed into the grout, providing superior long-term results.

Certain grout formulations, particularly epoxy-based products, come with built-in moisture resistance that eliminates the need for additional sealing. These specialized grouts naturally repel water and resist staining without supplemental treatment.

Additionally, if your existing grout still demonstrates good water-beading properties from previous sealing, immediate reapplication may be unnecessary. Professional contractors evaluate your specific grout type, condition, and location before making recommendations about sealing requirements.

An average DIY grout sealing project for a 160-square-foot area requires about three hours, though this timeline can extend significantly for first-time applicators or challenging spaces. Professional contractors can complete the same area in two to five hours, depending on project complexity and required preparation. The experience gap often shows in application consistency and efficiency, with professionals delivering more uniform coverage in less time than most homeowners can achieve, especially on initial attempts.
