"I would give zero stars if I could. They are completely incompetent. We hired them to install a set of french doors to my backyard. They couldn't get the door to close properly, and the French doors were scraping against each other when closing. They claimed the issue was a faulty hinge and that they needed to order a replacement. I emailed them multiple times for updates, and getting a response was like pulling teeth. They consistently postponed the repair date. When they finally returned to fix it, THREE MONTHS LATER, they discovered the problem wasn't the hinge at all, but rather a protruding screw. They didn't even use the replacement hinge; they simply replaced the screw. As a result, I had a non-functioning door for three months. Furthermore, we provided them with the specifications of the hardware we were going to order. They initially advised that a single dummy handle would suffice for the non-locking door, but it actually required a passage handle. However, when they realized the single dummy handle wouldn't work, they told us to order a double dummy handle, before they realized it needed a passage. Now, I have two extra sets of wasted hardware. I can't return them because their prolonged delay in installing the door caused the return period to expire. I also don't know what kind of discount door they got, but the handle is extremely low, only 30 inches above the ground. When I looked it up, door handles are usually 36 inches above the floor. They are terrible"

"Alex and his team did great work for a logistically complex project including a small HOA, supply chain delays, and the sale of one property with repairs ongoing. Alex was a total pro. He stayed in constant communication, updating us on work, timelines, estimated delivery, etc. His team rallied to complete the roof replacement in frigid temps to beat another round of bad weather coming through Austin, and he managed to get delivery dates out of vendors reluctant to be specific. "Escalante ATX provided a great experience. We experienced hail damage from a storm back in the spring, they were quick to come out and assess the damage, also went above / beyond to meet with our insurance adjuster to review the damage on-site. After that it was a seamless process with picking a roof color & style and scheduling the install. The install took a total of 2-2.5 days and they also will do other projects besides roofing. They took care of some additional damage on our decks and board replacement / painting. Would highly recommend for any projects you are looking to hire a reliable and professional service!"

"Because of high winds, a section of our vinyl siding had blown off our home (near the peak of a two story gable roof.) As the remaining siding was loosened and more winds in the forecast, we felt repairs were urgent. Joel V. was good enough to look at our situation the next day (a Sunday at 7pm) after listing our project with Angi. He was prepared with a big ladder and tools to inspect the damage. He said he could fix it right then and we gratefully accepted. He worked until nearly dark, but got our job done. We were very much relieved having this repair before more 'weather' comes. Joel was very personable and great to work with. We really appreciated him being willing to extend what started as a short visit for a quote to actually helping us out. What he charged us was very fair. We will certainly work with him again for applicable projects."
