I was very happy with this contractor as we actually fired the contractor that was installing our very large pole barn as it was very shoddy work and was not going to get done anywhere close to the deadline we agreed on. The first contractor would also rarely show up when he said he would. Luckily for me I found K.A Slansky construction and they were able to take over the project and get it finished in half the time the first contractor said it would take. "We cannot thank Steve, Jen and their crew enough for the work they did in our home. They took a challenging space that was by far the most dated, poorly laid out and aesthetically unpleasing location in our house and completely re-imagined it. From our initial consultations with Steve through the entire project, we had regular back and forth communication that helped to build, sustain and cement our confidence in the process. Both Steve and Jen (and the crew) were helpful in helping us choose appliances, styles, colors and vendors. They never rushed us to make a decision and gave us reasonable timetables well in advance. Steve gave us a 5-6 week project window, and was right on schedule throughout. We interviewed four different contracting companies as we prepared to begin this project. Steve was the only person who made us feel both confident in his abilities, and honest in his projection of the task. Early on, he suggested that the quote we got and signed would be the eventual result. There wouldn't be any hidden fees, should he find something unexpected. Sure enough, Steve found something unexpected in the demolition (a hidden structural steel support that needed to be moved.) After consulting with his engineers and coming up with a solution, his crew of four guys took an entire day (maybe more?) to move the beam further into our ceiling and bring it to code. For this additional work and consultation, Steve didn't charge us an additional penny. It goes without saying that the crew is amazing. Each day, they showed up on time, cleaned up before they left, and were very respectful of our home. On a few days, we lived in the house while they working, and they were awesome with our two elementary school-aged boys. From letting the boys watch them to drawing pictures for them of their upcoming tasks, you couldn't have asked for nicer guys. The crew has such an eye for detail and asked us questions each day to make sure their vision aligned with ours. The end result is absolutely stunning. For two rookies who have never done such a significant remodel, we never would have been able to do this without everyone at Boyd. A huge thanks to Steve, Jen, Nate, Ron, Dale, Adam, Tommy and everyone else that came over and became a part of our family for a month and a half!"

He did all building of the bar, flooring, installed lighting, wall coverings, electrical, plumbing, etc. His work and attention to detail are amazing. "Scheduling the appointment was the hardest part of this job.  The owner was unresponsive. It took a long time just to get the appointment scheduled.  The two installers who showed up were nice.  They were clear on the requirements to install the fans, including the need to install special converters to the wiring.  They worked quickly and efficiently ( I did pre-assemble the fans as much as I could to help save time). They were clean.  The job was done well.  I would hire them again.  I would just like the owner to work a little on his customer service skills.
