"On this last visit Scott Barnhill worked on our irrigation system and drainage. This had been his 6th visit or so to our property and we are very pleased with him. Each visit lasts about 5 hours for which we are charged $250.00 and he performs a great variety of services. We have had him repair plumbing leaks, install grab bars in tiled showers, install sink popups, correct improper wiring in outlets, install GFI outlets, trace wiring circuits and hang large and heavy pictures/paintings in addition to replacing the garage wall unit for the irrigation system, digging up and replacing irrigation heads and crawling under my house to investigate drainage issues. His ability to perform so many different tasks in a professional and courteous manner at reasonable rates makes him a very desirable service provider.

"I recently purchased a 21 year old house in the Surfside area of Myrtle Beach which still had it's original roof. Realizing I may have coverage  issues with my insurance company I looked on Angies list and called Allrestore Contracting and another major roofing company in the area in September. Both companies came out, climbed on the roof but Mr. Hoctor's 30 picture and several pages report was the most detailed of the two. The inspector I paid $300.00 dollars to inspect the home did'nt find a fraction of what Mr. Hoctor found. When we finally met on the 10th of October 2014 he educated me on what was wrong with my roof due to age and original construction in layman's terms. Mr. Hoctor is a real people person who is a pleasure to talk to who doesn't give you the bums rush to try to sell his product over another company. His knowledge and professionalism speaks for itself. I never heard one negative comment about the competition, just facts I could understand  We signed my contract on a day that fit my schedule since I still live four hours away on October 10, 2014 .He then scheduled my roof replacement on two days that fit my schedule on October 17 and 18,  2014. His crew was prompt and courteous this last weekend. They covered all my bushes and new fence and constantly cleaned the yard during the process.
 Mr Hoctor supervised the entire job and answered all my questions during the whole phase of the job. He was there the whole two days, all around the house . Being a do-it-yourself kind of guy and having some experience in construction believe me I asked a lot  of questions.
Jim Hoctor did two things that blew me away during the time his crew was feverishly replacing my roof.
On the first day he was so approachable my elderly widowed neighbor came over for help with her front door storm door and he came along to help. The next day I left my car in the garage knowing their trailer would block it in.  I figured  I would get a late breakfast after they finished since they were so close the first day. Mid morning knowing they were going to be a little longer than expected, Jim went and bought me a take-out  breakfast from my favorite restaurant. I still can't get over it.
