"Michael Ridgeway was wonderful to work with because he listened to how I wanted the gate to be finished so it would be structurally strong. I would hire him again without any question. Michaels helper that worked along with him worked very hard. I really appreciate their work ethics. Thank you so much Michael and Tommy! Sherie"

"All phase diagnosed the problem and fixed it that day. We have used them in the past to install a water heater, we chose all phase because they are detail oriented, did not try to upscale and made sure the installation met code."

"The company owner visited the site and discussed the problems with the drains and issues associated with various solutions. He described the options for solutions and highlighted the benefits and drawbacks of the various alternatives. This contractor's website provides an excellent informational video on a range of topics of interest to homeowners planning to contract for plumbing or drain services. The workers arrived on time and spent 8+ hours trenching and installing new drains for the kitchen and laundry. The work was to replace 60+ year old drains located under the concrete slab of a masonry house. A little giant pump was installed near the washing machine and the drain was routed through the attic, down the exterior wall and then connected to the new kitchen drain that was rerouted outside the slab. A small portion of masonry block wall was removed to permit the connection to the new drain in the kitchen wall. The workers were pleasant, efficient, took the time to do quality work, but worked quickly and finished the job in one day. The pricing was accurate and affordable. The office was easy to reach for scheduling and contract questions."

"Maurice the tech from Zoom Drain showed up right on time, took a look at my rusting, leaking, disaster of a garbage disposal and suggested that the unit be replaced as all the seals were shot, thus poor outlook on repair. His price worked for my budget and he installed a new unit from the truck. All old pieces he cleared away and cleaned up the sizable wet mess from the old unit. He explained the particulars and added me to the Very Satisfied Customer list. I will choose Zoom Drain first for all upcoming plumbing work and I recommend them 5 Star highly."

"Cory came out to initially snake the clog, and spent about 3 hours until he gave me the news that he'd have to go under the house.  He recommended that the pipes be replaced after 65 years of buildup and use.  The price was very fair.  He was able to schedule a high-powered flush to the the shower operational.  They spent 3 hours doing that as well as trying to snake it to get some flow.  This was unsuccessful.  They were originally scheduled to replace the pipes the following week, but the company was able to rearrange their schedule to accommodate us and get the pipes replaced.  The procedure only took about 2 1/2 hours with a 3 man crew.  They were extremely polite, professional and efficient.  Cory was an outstanding lead and did everything he could to get us back to baseline.  They also knew that we have only one bathroom and needed to use the shower. They could have charged us anything and we might have had to pay it or wait a week until we scheduled bids. Their price was very fair and I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off for the type of work they were performing.  I recommend this company wholeheartedly.  We have used them before to replace 60 feet of sewer line, and they did it fast and clean and came in at a good price. <br />"

FAQs for basement drainage channels installation projects in Loomis, CA

Expect a well-built French drain to last 30 to 40 years. By channeling both surface- and ground-water away from your foundation, the system relieves hydrostatic pressure and helps prevent costly structural damage. Choose a pipe with a quality cloth filter to keep sediment out and extend the drain’s life. A quick annual inspection and routine cleanouts will keep water flowing freely, ensuring the system continues to protect your home for years to come.

Most French drains sit two feet below grade, but depth ultimately depends on the problem you’re solving. For puddling rainwater or snowmelt, a shallow curtain drain at lawn level often does the trick. To handle rising groundwater, pros dig deeper, down to the footing, and run the pipe beneath the basement slab. A drainage contractor will determine the optimal depth for your specific soil conditions and water issues.

A properly installed interior French drain captures water at the slab, channels it to a sump pit, and directs it safely outside, preventing basement floods before they occur. Because the pipe sits just under the floor edge, a plumber can reach it easily for cleaning or repairs. Pairing the drain with a reliable sump pump gives you the best long-term protection.

Hire a contractor who installs drainage systems every day—typically a foundation specialist, drainage contractor, experienced landscaper, or plumber with waterproofing experience. These pros understand slope, soil, and local codes, and they have the equipment to trench safely around utilities. Ask for references and photos of recent jobs to be sure they can design a system that keeps water off your foundation for decades.

Once the drain is in, patch the yard by reseeding bare spots or replacing plants the crew removed. Inside, look for ways to add value—finishing the basement or upgrading interior waterproofing while the space is open often costs less now than later. Schedule a quick annual checkup to flush sediment and confirm the pipe and sump pump are clear. Consistent maintenance ensures the drain functions properly and protects your investment.

Most policies don’t cover the cost of repairing a French drain itself, but they may provide coverage for water damage if the system fails. Coverage varies by insurer, so be sure to read the fine print or contact your agent before any issues arise. If you live in a high-risk flood zone, consider a separate flood policy to close the gap. Knowing your coverage in advance helps you budget for repairs and avoid unexpected costs.
