"We had a variety of pests at our Orange County property. The pests were entering from multiple openings in and around our condo attic. Some had even entered into our living area. TriCounty came in and assessed the situation and gave our HOA a couple options. TriCounty began the process by first closing all entry points. Next, they set traps and monitored any potential activity for 2 weeks. Once they confirmed there was no activity, they scheduled the complete removal of all debris including insulation. Once the debris was removed, they completely sanitized the entire attic and replaced with new insulation. We are completely satisfied with their attention to detail and their care for the cleanliness of our property and living area. I highly recommend TriCounty Trappers for any pest control and remediation."

"In my search for a termite inspection, I called about 3 companies and Yelp sent to another 5. Within 10 mins from my call to POW-Bug Squad, I received a call back from Andrew, the company owner. They were able to inspect within a week. Since I make it a point to get 3 quotes, the other 2 companies that responded were also very courteous and was able to come out to inspect within 24-48 hours. Their price was competitive and their knowledge and recommendations on options were thorough and clear. I still wanted to wait until Bug Squad could inspect, to see if they were in line with my scheduling needs since i was having my roof repaired within a week thereafter. Fast forward, Josh came out to inspect and was so knowledgeable and informed me of my options and did not sway me one way or another but allowed us to make a decision and assured that they would accommodate as best as possible. My choice to go with Bug Squad was first.... the 10 min response time from Andrew, second the staff who made the inspection appointment were so nice, pleasant, and truly knows what customer service means! Alissa, Kelsi and Jackie... they made me feel like I was being prioritized, communicated so well every step of their process. From inspection, to receiving a detailed quote, to scheduling wood repair and fumigation. I highly recommend POW Bug Squad for their professionalism, customer service, competitive pricing and excellent work. BTW their price was in between the other two companies. Thank you, Bug Squad! I will definitely share with others who may need your services."

FAQs for bird and bat pest control service projects in Los Angeles, CA

You're likely to find nesting birds in external areas such as your gutters, eaves, porches, and chimneys. Some birds also nest in less obvious spots, like attics or even in your ventilation systems if they gain access. A reputable pro will conduct an inspection before starting any work to check for evidence of where birds may have set up roosting or nesting sites in your home.

Leaving birds to roost and nest on your home creates significant risks that affect both your home's structure and your well-being. The constant droppings, aggressive swooping, and persistent noise can damage siding, allow moisture intrusion, and stain exterior finishes. In addition, the birds’ pecking and droppings can spread diseases and parasites, which can lead to escalating repair costs and health hazards.

Yes, humane removal is possible and ensures that birds remain unharmed during the extraction process. Experts use proven methods to safely capture and relocate both birds and their nests to secure environments. Professionals employ stainless steel spikes as a deterrent while avoiding harmful techniques such as poisons or glue traps. You can rely on trusted specialists who strictly use safe, noninjurious methods, thereby protecting the birds while resolving the nuisance.

Yes, there are legal considerations when removing birds and their nests. You must adhere to strict local and state regulations, which safeguard protected native species during nesting season. Special authorization is required to remove protected birds, their nests, or eggs under the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Observing these legal mandates avoids violations and ensures safe, responsible removal.

To prevent birds from returning after nest removal, you can implement deterrent methods. Installing stainless steel spikes creates a secure barrier that prevents birds from roosting without causing injury. In contrast, loose nets may entangle birds and other wildlife, creating additional hazards. A trusted professional will choose and install the optimal method to keep your home bird-free.

A bird’s nest remains viable for a period that depends on the species. The construction phase concludes within 2 days to 3 weeks, followed by a rearing stage lasting 2 to 10 weeks. Most birds become fully independent within 2 to 6 weeks, while certain predatory species require up to 2 1/2 months. This timeline can guide you on when it's safe to intervene.
