"Remarkably well! PCB laid the foundation last fall, 2019. They were careful to match its elevation to the existing house and didn't miss it by even a quarter inch. The main construction started om April 6, 2020 and finished on June 23, 2020. The work was done as per the approved plans and better. We were very impressed with the owners ( Mr. Felipe Silva) attention to detail and prompt responses to our questions or concerns and requested revisions or upgrades. The workmen conducted themselves very professionally and were highly skilled at their crafts. They were also a lot of fun to visit with. We were particularity pleased with the carpentry and roofing skill it took to blend the new addition into the original house and a prior addition. The tile work, cabinetry, counter tops, stucco and wall finishing/paint are all beautiful. Less visible is the plumbing and electrical work it took to tie the buildings together. Once again, very well done. The project came in on budget, plus the cost of the upgrades we requested, and had approved prior to work beginning. I'd recommend PCB to anyone interested in a quality remodel project. They are a really excellent group of people."

"Aztec Mountain Construction was hired to remodel the bathroom for me. The entire process was painless beginning with the estimate. Everything was itemized and the job was clearly defined. Hugo communicated with me frequently letting me know where they were as far as progress and made sure that I was satisfied every step of the way. Even during the construction, I made changes and they were very accommodating. In the end, the job turned out amazing. The job was done so well that a family member even asked for an estimate for their bathroom. "Hired Mountain Side to move a cinder block wall section and also raise another. Submitted a request for quote via Angie's List and receive a call within an hour. Mountainside sent a rep to my address within a week to generate a free quote. Cuco spent about 30 minutes reviewing my plan and gathering measurements for the project. A quote was sent to me that night and a team arrived a few weeks later to complete the project. All work was completed promptly and professionally. I was present at my property to complete a final inspection before payment, and minor issues I noticed were completed before I made payment. Mountainside also accommodated my last minute modifications to the original plan, after I requested a couple pillars in the new wall section be completely filled for additional strength. I can't say whether the price they gave me is superior to other contractors, since they were the only company that responded to my requests. However, I felts the price was reasonable for the project. Communication with everyone at Mountainside was easy and prompt, and they contacted me prior to moving forward with any step along the way. I definitely will reach out to Mountainside to complete any future masonry projects I need done down the road. Definitely recommended!"

"We built our house 24 years ago and acted as our own General Contractors, hiring a foreman and a crew, engaging in detailed oversight on all of the work. We are artists and have a high level of craftsmanship in our own work and in what we expect of others. After some 20 years, we realized that we needed to re-stucco the entire exterior of the building (~ 4000 sf) and wanted to address several problems that had accrued since the original construction. We got 6 or 7 bids and found that it was important to compare apples to apples, because some contractors didn’t specify exactly what they would include and others just didn’t do as much. The final bids that we compared included a preliminary coat of Wall-Ease, meshing the entire building, and a final color-coat, as well as extra protection around the windows and parapets. With the bids that incorporated all of this, James was the most competitive and we also were impressed with how competent and responsive he seemed according to the reviews on this site. He was able to get to our job in a timely way that worked with our schedule and with the weather. Overall we are very happy with the job and things turned out well. We had a few problem areas that we wanted addressed and in the end all of this was repaired and attended to. The guys on the crew were all very experienced and had a high skill level, included repairing as well as stucco work. However, we had a few frustrations beginning with the initial bid which didn’t cover some areas we had discussed. We got a revised bid, but if we had not been on the job site, overseeing exactly what they were doing, we might not have had things attended to that were in the revised bid. The crew was moving ahead, not doing everything included in the bid, until we intervened. That said, the guys were attentive to our concerns and James was very responsive when we pointed out what wasn’t being addressed and that we weren’t happy with how everything was going. In the end he addressed all of our concerns, was always responsive to our calls, and the job came out really well. James and his crew know their stuff and are competent and experienced and respond well to feedback and intervention."
