"We received excellent customer service from Dave! He informed us on work to be done, gave professional opinion, gave fair quote, completed the job in a timely manner and also installed ceiling fans in (2) bedrooms in addition to new wiring plus an electrical box. Very knowledgeable young man! Definitely recommend him... Super nice guy and most of all dependable! I will be calling Dave for ALL my electrical work!!! Thanks again Dave & HomeAdvisor."

"I hired them expecting a panel replacement/upgrade due to the main power shutting off. Withing a few minutes of putting the job request up I was contacted and they said they could be out within a few hours to do a free estimate. They kept in contact and let me know when they would be there. They checked out the panel and said it was in good shape. After describing the issues we had they determined it wasn't an issur with the panel like other companies had said but was just a few breakers needed to be replaced. They replaced them that day and also gave me an estimate for when I wanted to have the panel replaced which was thousands less than other electrical companies. Not only did they get the job done within a few hours of me posting the job they saved me money. If I have any electrical needs they are the ones I will be calling!"

"Yep! Electric was recommended by Angi's List to perform my EV charging station install. Dave came out and did a thorough inspection. He was timely and very knowledgeable and professional. Dave and his partner did a fantastic job with the install of my EVIQO Level 2 Charging Station. And the cleanup was like the garage was before the job started! If you're in the market for a EV Chanrging Station, Dave with Yep! Electric is the man for the job! Just a very happy customer!"

"Dustin and his team came out to address a wiring disaster I discovered while trying replace a switch. The previous ownerâ  s electrician did a total hack job on the wiring and was running ground wires to neutral terminals, different circuits sharing neutralsâ ¦ the list goes on. But Dustin and his guys diagnosed the issues and resolved them all quickly and efficiently. Highly recommend More Power To You!!!"

"I had Dylan do some electrical work at my house. He replaced the existing electric panel box with a new 200 amp service. He took care of everything including applying for the permit to do the work. He also called to have the electric service turned off at a certain time and turned back on after work was completed. This work was done in a professional and neat manner. And it was all done in one day. I would have Dylan back for any future work. "

FAQs for electrical wiring or panel upgrade projects in Loveland, OH

While homeowners with substantial electrical knowledge might technically attempt a subpanel installation, most local building departments require permits and inspections for this type of work. Professional electricians understand local code requirements, can obtain necessary permits, and ensure the installation meets safety standards. Given the significant safety risks associated with incorrect electrical work, most homeowners benefit from hiring a licensed professional.

A standard subpanel installation takes an average of four to eight hours. This timeframe may extend if you're installing multiple subpanels or adding specialized circuits like those for spa equipment. Factors such as difficult access points, complex wiring paths, or permit processing times can also affect the overall project duration.

Adding a subpanel doesn't directly reduce electricity consumption or lower your utility bills. A subpanel simply redistributes power from your main panel to additional circuits. However, organizing your electrical system more efficiently may help prevent overloaded circuits and the associated problems. For actual cost savings, consider energy-efficient appliances and lighting instead.

The appropriate subpanel size depends on your specific electrical requirements. Consider the number and type of devices you'll be powering, potential future needs, and the capacity of your main electrical panel. An electrician can perform a load calculation to determine the most suitable amperage rating for your situation, ensuring you have adequate power without overpaying for unnecessary capacity.

A main electrical panel connects directly to your utility's power supply and contains your home's primary service disconnect. It distributes electricity throughout your entire house. A subpanel, by contrast, receives power from the main panel and redistributes it to a specific area of your home. Think of the main panel as the primary distribution point and the subpanel as a secondary branch that extends your electrical system's reach.

While electrical upgrades aren't as immediately visible as kitchen or bathroom renovations, they can contribute to your home's functionality and safety. Prospective buyers often appreciate updated electrical systems that can accommodate modern power demands. A properly installed subpanel that provides additional capacity for workshops, home offices, or future expansions could be an attractive feature for certain buyers, though the direct impact on home value varies by market.
