"I interviewed several contractors for my main bathroom remodel and chose VKB for their professionalism, design, and overall approach to the process. My objective was to have a large shower with a seat since the existing shower was the size of a phone booth and the bathroom configuration presented challenges. From the very first meeting with the design consultant, BURJU, I was impressed with her ideas and suggestions and her willingness to work within my established budget. She didn't recommend or suggest unnecessary or unwanted over the top items that would have blown my budget. Project manager, JASON, was on top of everything, stayed in touch with me almost daily, made sure I had all the correct cabinets and fixtures, provided me with his cell number, and asked each time if I had any questions. "Most pleased. Would definitely hire again. Needed carpenter to build a footbridge using repurposed wood, install insect screen under raised screen-in porch, install oak handrails, fix the threshold to our front door, and add shoe molding in basement. JW (owner) was pleasant, professional, and thorough when he came out to give an estimate. He listened to what we wanted done and suggested ways to make it work. Scheduling was a breeze. A team of two came out to complete our projects. Of course temperatures were in the 90s, but they worked nonstop. Pedro (crew chief) built our footbridge based only on description. The results were amazing. It's sturdy, attractive, and durable. Kudos for great work. Other projects were completed within the timeframe with Kevin working on the screen and railings with assistance from Pedro. The crew was timely, professional, courteous. They cleaned up at the end of each day. All work was completed within 4 days. There was only a minor issue with the oak hand rails (needed additional sanding) -- which was remedied quickly after review of the project manager, Bob. JW was a tad more expensive that other bids, but in the end, well worth the price. Glad we went with them."

We had a 3-room remodeling project (living room/dining room/library and hall) that other contractors had low-bid on -- with insufficient understanding of the project's scope. Andrei videotaped the project and developed a detailed scope of work that met our requirements exactly. The work included removing wallpaper, painting (including ceiling that slopes from 8' to 18'), installing wainscot, fixing floors, installing electrical boxes, installing new wallpaper, etc. Each of the 3 teams he brought in were extraordinarily competent, friendly, organized, and meticulous. The wallpaper and flooring work in particular is beyond perfect! We will be asking them back next year, to gut and model a bathroom. These guys are GREAT."
