"Our house was in bad shape-the foundation had been sinking for years. Most interior and 2 exterior doors no longer opened, the garage was separating along the walls and roof, and all our walls had cracks in them. I heard of Legacy Supportworks at a home show-that's where I met Nick, their spokesperson. He came to our house, did a thorough inspection and explained the process so I was able to understand what was needed. The price was most reasonable and less than I expected. The production crew called before they arrived, arrived on time, and worked an entire 8-6 day. During the process, the production crew took great care with the landscaping and surrounding yard, sidewalks and driveway, then cleaned up any mess made. The production crew gentlemen (and everyone I have spoken with) were polite-no profanity- honest, trustworthy, no smoking, introduced themselves, etc. They went above and beyond their job responsibilities For example, at our house, because the doors had not opened for so long, the screws were warped. The foreman replaced the screws, at his own initiative. One gentleman, after work, saw an elderly lady down the block struggling to mow her yard, and went down and mowed it for her. Because they worked so hard, they were able to finish a day ahead of schedule. We are thrilled to be able to open the doors, have level floors and no longer need to worry about the garage falling apart. I have, and will continue to, recommend Legacy Supportworks. "Willie and his team did fantastic work. After contacting numerous other "foundation experts", Willie provided the best plan and backed it up with his overall knowledge and certification/training in basement/foundation repair. He and his team do great work and take no short-cuts when it comes to the overall quality of the work. He also was very flexible when other requests were made and he gladly accommodated. He has a passion for his business, customers and takes great pride in his work. The basement and porch are now fixed and look great. Best of all is that we have confidence the work performed will last."

"I hired Texas Quality Cleaning Services for a move out clean of a 2300sq' house I had rented for 2 years. They provided very efficient cleaning services including cabinets, appliances, floors, walls, window sills, bathrooms, drawer wipe downs, behind and under appliances, windows and so much more. They did an outstanding job and I would definitely hire them again."

FAQs for concrete foundation raise projects in Lubbock, TX

On average, it takes two to seven days to physically raise your house. However, this does not include the preparation work, which is often the most lengthy process. The entire project, including preparation, obtaining permits, disconnecting utilities, and any subsequent landscaping, can take four to eight weeks. This timeline ensures everything is done safely and that your home remains structurally sound.

If proper safety protocols are not followed, raising a house can cause severe damage, as the process involves applying controlled force to the home's structure. The risks involved make it crucial to hire a skilled contractor who uses engineered methods to secure your home and prevent any harm to your household.

If your foundation shows signs of instability after raising your home, you might need to add structural support. A structural engineer can assess your foundation and recommend reinforcements to ensure your house stays stable and safe for the long term. Available support options include installing additional piers or pilings, reinforcing existing footings, or using steel beams to distribute the load more evenly.

You will need a structural engineer to assess your home before you begin. These professionals determine whether your house is suitable for lifting and identify any issues that could compromise its stability. Their expertise ensures that the project is designed correctly and all risks are managed to achieve a successful lift.
