"My daughter took a non-working Windows laptop to BoonPC after I found them on Angie's List. She was extremely happy with the whole experience. The service was excellent. BoonPC explained what they had found as the problem and why it was not a cost effective repair for her particular laptop (a low cost computer). They transferred all data on the laptop to a hard drive for her so that nothing was lost. They offered to dispose of the laptop for her which she happily agreed to. As she wanted to get a replacement, they explained the weak points of her laptop and recommended brands they felt had a good repair record. "The story told above is a simple one: Bob Havey of D2D recognized a threat to my privacy and data as a result of spam that made it to his in box and stepped up, unasked, to assist me in mitigating the damage at no cost. Unasked, he researched contacts at the e-mail provider I use. He provided links to various specialized virus scans and advised on the results I obtained when I used them. And he kept following up until everything was back to normal. I think he did this because he considers the computer systems in our house to be HIS products (he built one of our computers, set up the other two and has helped us troubleshoot , update and maintain all three of them for years).
