"They did the renovations in our bathroom for us. They put porcelain tile down in our bathroom and around the bathtub. They installed a shower for us. They did all the plumbing. They basically had the shower, take the old shower out . Then they had the city come inspect and make sure it's up to code."

"That particular company had been getting a bad rep before we used them. We went ahead and used them and it was not an insurance claim and they did an excellent job. They're competitive and very comparable to everybody else in our area. They're not any more expensive, they're not any less. They do a really good job, what they promise to do, they do."

"This house was in bad condition. We purchased it from a bank which had foreclosed on the property. We asked our Real Estate Broker(Mary Bognar, Weichert Realtors Hallmark Properties, St Cloud, 407-709-4035), whom we had learned to trust completely, if she could recommend a contractor to re-do the lawn and the landscaping, and a handyman or service company to work on the interior of the house. Mary gave us two recommendations. We asked each for an estimate and felt instantly comfortable with Advance Services (Victor Jimenez). They came out and looked at the house and listened to our plans. The next day we received their proposal for both the inside and outside work and they started two days later. (We give detail on the inside work under the handyman classification). We were very pleased with their services, would highly recommend them and will use them again."

"Ellison was responsive (returned my call in 2 days) and very punctual (showed up precisely on time).  He was also very friendly and listened to what work I wanted to have done.  However, he didn't take any measurements or write anything down.  He called me back two days later after the visit and said he would not be able to do my project in the timeframe I needed (3 weeks).  He had a regular other full-time job and would only be able to devote evenings and weekends to my project.  He did offer to refer me to another person, which I declined and went with another contractor. <br />"

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Luthersville, GA

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
