"Derek did very good work and remained professional when he realized the job was going to be bigger then expected. He was knowledgeable and courteous. Unfortunately I later found out he is not a man of his word and what a disappointment that was. When he realized the job was going to be much more involved than originally thought, he advised me it would cost more money. Of course, would not have expected less. I immediately advised him I could only allow him to continue with the job if he was willing to wait to cash the check I would give him until Monday or Tuesday the latest. He agreed. This was Saturday and he returned on Sunday to complete the work. It was obvious he preferred to finish the job and not have to come back several days later, which he did not have to do. I would have paid him for the work he had already completed and hired someone else to finish the job. However, he instead cashed my check early Monday without confirming with me it was okay to cash it. Granted it was a lot to ask, but he could have said no, and I would have put off the work until Tuesday. I had planned on having him do a lot more work, and not just theater system or PC repair. I will not be asking him back to do more work and I can not and will not recommend a man I don't feel I can trust!"
