"On Monday, August 18, 2025, at approximately 12:00 PM, a technician named Paxton Geng from Mr. Rooter visited my home to provide a quote for a leaking spigot. I was not home at the time, so my wife communicated with him while I was on the phone. After concluding our conversation and right before leaving, Mr. Geng asked to use my wife's phone under the pretense of showing her a few things. My wife, who has limited English proficiency, allowed him to do so. He had her phone for about a minute. When she received it back, the screen showed a "Thanks for the review" page from Google. My wife navigated back and discovered that Mr. Geng had left himself a five-star review from her phone. He included a comment that is attached in the accompanying photo. This action is a severe invasion of privacy and an act of impersonation. I immediately contacted Mr. Rooter to report the incident and spoke with a manager named Steve. He assured me he would look into the matter, make things right, and call me the following morning. I waited two weeks, calling him daily without a response. When he finally answered, his attitude was dismissive, and he seemed to have no intention of resolving the issue. The behavior of both the technician and the manager is deeply concerning. This experience suggests a lack of integrity and proper oversight within your company. I urge you to take immediate action to address this breach of trust and the subsequent failure to follow up."

"Our furnace install was done professionally. The installers were great. I do not blame any of our problems on the installers. It is their corporate office and lack of concern for issues a customer has that will affect any future customers. They simply do not care. The day after our furnace install we received a text that stated "Anderson Heating, Cooling and Plumbing, and sister company A New Image Heating and Cooling are offering a FLASH BOGO! Valid this week! The Furnace is FREE when you install an AC! Call today for details.". I called immediately because we had expressed an interest in both heat and AC. I asked why we were not offered this BOGO when they knew we were interested in both and the sale was good for the week of our installation. We would have taken this deal and gotten both. I was told by the Mentor office that they were unaware that the sale text was going out and asked if I could give them a few days. The following Monday I did receive a call back and was told they would install our AC for $4,000. The original estimate was about $6,000. So they were offering to take $2,000 off to install the AC. My furnace was $5,695. Is this a deceptive advertising ploy to get another $4,000 out of us? I disagreed with this offer and was given a contact at their home office in Grand Rapids MI. I sent the info to Geoffery Kartes who is their Director of Digital Marketing in MI. That was four weeks ago and I have heard NOTHING from anyone. I even called Mr. Kartes and still did not get a call back. This is apparently a "pass the blame" situation where no one is willing to take responsibility. Associates in the Mentor office agreed with me, one of their associates even encouraged me to escalate my displeasure because he said this has happened before, yet nothing has been done. Maybe if they ignore me I will go away. I will not. I wanted to let potential future customers know this happened. I am also letting the BBB and the Ohio AG know. We also had them re route a vent pipe in a separate bathroom so that it is past the trap and not letting sewer gases into the home. We were given options for materials based on our budget and guided on who to meet with at the appropriate store to select our materials. The work was done within the timeframe we gave. They did an excellent job making the space beautiful and professionally done. They respected our home and cleaned up better than expected each day. Of course, there were unexpected issues that arose that were dealt with without concern such as having to shore up not plumb walls. The price wasn’t cheap but was reasonable. In all, they did an excellent job."
