"Looks MUCH better. The only disappointment is that the filling of the large cracks can be seen through the seal coating. It reminds me of the first coat of paint on a new wall and the taping and spackling still shows through."

"Found this company on yelp and after meeting with a few other contractors we decided to go with them based on peer reviews and pricing. We initially just wanted to have some ac sleeves removed and bricked up since we were planning to upgrade to ductless ac but after meeting with Kamran we decided to get our flat roof refinished as well. They showed up on time and completed the work quickly, while they have had great reviews in the past years I feel that either I am expecting too much or their workmanship is no longer the same as before. I will let the pictures do the talking."

"After interviewing several hardscape contractors to perform a sizeable backyard remodel we went with Bongiornos Contracting. From the first step through each succeeding phase of the project I found both Chuck and C.J to be super knowledgeable and very receptive to all our concerns. They offered valuable insight in choosing the materials, the paver layout and the garden wall height/layout. The team of installers showed up every day promptly and while parking on my block was tight with the pallets of materials and trucks they did their best to minimize the disruption to my neighbors. The paver work, including the inlay and border pavers, was outstanding and exceeded expectations. A few minor hiccups occurred which is normal for a job this size but all were taken care of to my complete satisfaction. I would not hesitate to recommend Bongiornos contracting to anyone looking for a company that produces some truly exceptional work"

"Don easily exceeded my expectations. We had given him a challenge of fitting a pond in a certain location without exceeding certain boundaries. Boy did he deliver! Don not only stayed within the area we had, but the final product is far greater than anything I had ever envisioned. Our entire family is extremely excited to have a pond that we will enjoy for years to come. Don is a "pondmaster" and I would happily recommend him to anyone whom needed a pond installed or serviced."

"A back water valve was installed in my basement. A & A Innovative was hired to install valve cover, fill in the opening with gravel and concrete, cover the hole with concrete and level off with floor. The procedure was explained in professional and layman's terms, I was able to take photos as the work proceeded, the worker was on time. Area left clean. The price was very reasonable."

We interviewed many facade contractor, but my husband had a feeling he would be best fit for our project, he provide us references , insurance, warranties prior to this work. His main job are brownstone and we needed someone who is experienced and knows it’s work. The entire performance was great. Although this took extra month then anticipated, we are glad it’s done. . FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Malverne, NY

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
