We had to have our existing partially finished basement demolished so we could have french drains and a sump system put in, as well as a geothermal heating/cooling installation accomplished, after having an existing oil burning furnace and radiant heating system removed. The basement restoral project included plumbing and sink replacement, electrical and lighting efficiency upgrades, framing and drywall replacement, door replacements, flooring replacement, and a few decorative additions to give the space some character. The entire process: scoping, design, coordination, execution, and detailed wrap up was accomplished under a great leader and problem solver with highly credible and expert tradesman. "Last week Dimitri and his crew finished remodeling 2 of my bathrooms. I am thrilled with the results! They gutted both bathrooms down to the studs and properly rebuilt the walls with cement backer board in the showers and on the floors. These gentlemen are true artists. They painstakingly cut my 12”x24” tiles so that my niche was centered. They took their time to make sure my mosaic accent tile was smooth and even. Since the walls in my old house aren’t square, Dimitri worked his magic to make my vanities fit against the walls. In my Master bathroom, 3 walls were removed in order to enlarge my shower and overall bathroom space. They moved plumbing, set up new electrical sockets and lights, installed a new exhaust fan which vents to the outside and removed a wall in order to put in a smooth gliding pocket door. The installation of a glass frameless shower door and a glass door above the tub was perfect; the doors float along the tracks as smooth as silk. This is a family owned business. Dimitri, his two sons and another crew member came to work on time every day. Even though they worked long hours, it was apparent that they loved their job. I certainly reaped the benefits of their expertise. I highly recommend this company for any remodeling job. I will definitely call them back to remodel my third bathroom and put a composite material like Trex on my deck."

"Overall we had a great experience with American Kitchen Concepts. We purchased an eighteen year old home that needed a little updating, particularly in the kitchen. We also wanted to continue the existing oak wood floors from the other rooms into the kitchen and family room (open kitchen concept). We decided the extensive flooring project should be done before moving in, so as soon as our offer was accepted and the home inspection was scheduled I contacted several companies that specialized in kitchen renovations to come out and give us a quote during the home inspection. Many of the contractors weren’t will to come out without us actually owning the home yet, but Dan Millard with American Kitchen Concepts was willing to meet with us. Dan was prompt and very accommodating during the home inspection. He was also easy going about the few other competitors that came out to give us similar quotes at the same time. What I enjoyed most about Dan in comparison to the other contractors was that he seemed trustworthy and willing to work with our budget to help us get what we wanted but could also afford. After we signed the contract with Dan he was great about assisting us with selecting our kitchen design. He wasn’t pushy or overbearing. He was helpful and gave suggestions when needed. The project did cost more than we originally expected, but this mostly due to the refinishing of the existing wood floors in the entire main level of the house so that the new wood floors in the family room and kitchen would match. And as far as timeline, the project stayed mostly on schedule. We had a one week delay at the start, but the project was completed before our official move in date. I’ve heard that delays with renovation projects are common, and that one week was minor compared to others experiences. I do think that our renovation was probably simpler than most. We didn’t reconfigure anything. Basically American Kitchen Concepts took out the outdated aspects of the kitchen and replaced them with a newer, updated look. Our renovation didn’t require moving any walls, or switching the plumbing around, or anything as complicated as that. We did have some changes to the electrical, but nothing too major. When I look at our new kitchen design I am really happy with the final product. Dan took the ideas that I suggested and made it a reality for us. We are more than satisfied with our kitchen remodel, and would recommend American Kitchen Concepts to others."

"We had a great remodel experience with Mega Kitchen and Bath. After watching a little too much HGTV in preparation, we had lots of design ideas and the designer Kat Bradshaw was extremely patient and accommodating as we changed our mind and asked to see multiple design options. She also helped us make (and edit) our design choices and came up with solutions to help fit everything we wanted in our small space. She provided great customer service, was extremely responsive, and spent a lot of time with us as we made all my design choices. Once construction began, Ibrahim and his team were professional, responsive, and easy to work with as well. They came every day on time, did high quality work, and kept us updated on progress and issues that arose. While no renovation project is complete without a few surprises and minor snafus, the team handled them quickly and professionally. They were always willing and available to answer our questions, inform us of issues, give us options for addressing the issues that arose, and make changes we requested. They even went above and beyond the terms of our contract, fixing a burst water pipe for us when the winter weather got the better of our old pipes at no additional cost. The remodel was completed within 6 weeks, slightly longer that the original estimated but very reasonable given the changes and unexpected issues that came up. In summary, we would highly recommend them to others!"

"Excellent experience with Black & White Kitchen & Bath - from the first phone call to the final sign off. My new kitchen is absolutely beautiful and the workmanship is outstanding. When we first met with Junior, I’m embarrassed to say, I was a little skeptical because he seemed so young. Immediately I realized he knew exactly what he was talking about and had answers to every question we asked. He knows his business! He helped us through the design, explained the construction process/timeline, made great suggestions in the showroom and stayed within the budget we told him we were working with. Once we signed the contract, Junior set us up with an app to monitor the progress of the job. We were able to see the timeline of work tasks and each day work was done, pictures were uploaded with the progress. We weren’t always staying at the home, so this was very helpful in tracking the progress of the job. Junior also connected us to Emilio, who would oversee the work being done. Just like Junior, Emilio answered every question we had and kept in constant communication about every step of the project. We asked for a few changes and extra things as the work was happening and Emilio easily accommodated the requests and made updates to project plan. We were never left wondering what was happening. The job was completed in the agreed upon timeframe - a critical piece of the work. Also worth noting, the men who did the work were the kind of people you’d want in your home doing work. Knowledgeable, courteous, and cleaned up at the end of the day so we could continue daily living in the space.
