Upon opening up the roof, the contractor found some rotted joints and sheathing, along with water-damaged insulation. Determined it'd be better to construct a whole new roof support, Consequently, the cost went from $5400 to $6900. But we were assured the new roof would last 25-30 years. Their boss was very knowledgeable and personable, reiterating to call him anytime if any problems evolve.
