"While they were up there cleaning the gutters they told me about the deterioration of all the sealants on the air vents, the chimney and exhaust fans on the roof. They took pictures and showed me and I had them redo all the sealants. I have a feeling that that was a smart way for them to get some more work (most people aren't aware of the damage the Ca sun can do). It was the owner of the company and his son that did all the work and they were clean, pleasant and professional. When the 1st rains came after the work was done I suddenly remembered a small leak we had had in our bathroom and IT WAS NO LONGER THERE!! I was very happy with the work they did and would definitely recommend using them."

"Nice people, they claim to give a lifetime warranty including resealing seems or any problem at all. They showed up as scheduled, took a bit longer than expected. I was very happy with the way it looked when they were finished. Im still happy with the way it looks. After they left I noticed they had drilled a hole in my concrete walkway and pounded in rebar to mount a gate post but they didn’t plan it right and I believe they called the owner out who decided to put the post in a more suitable place. Unfortunately the cracked concrete with a flush cut piece off rusty rebar remains as an eyesore. After a month or two the gate post on the opposite side began pulling out of the stucco on the side of my garage. I took it apart to find they used cheep plastic anchors so i just went and replaced them with metal concrete anchors myself so its never coming out again. I figured despite the warranty id just get it done. Fast forward to present June 2019 and i noticed that 2 of the base plates of the fence are not fastened to the concrete on one end allowing them to swivel out of place when the neighbors gardener does yard work it pushes them out of place. I contacted Sonrise and was given a date two weeks away that they would show up but they could not give a time. Sounds stupid but fortunately I’m retired and can sit home all day waiting for them to show up because hey what else do i need to do right? never showed up. I emailed again and the Forman called and apologized said he’d be out the following Friday. Never called never showed up. I emailed again and its been a week and a half with no response. so much for that lifetime warranty. I am really happy with the way the fence looks but cutting corners on simple stuff has me a bit confused because when you say lifetime warranty to fix ANYTHING wrong. Well you’d expect no short cuts because then you’d have to come fix the problems ... Unless... you have no plans to fix anything at all. I don’t care to write a review like this but when you jerk a customer around then just ignore them what else is left to do?"

"Gary, the owner of GK Painting, did a fantastic job repainting and staining all of the exterior trim on my home in Hermosa Beach. He was the first Angie’s List contractor to call me back and met with me later that day to take a look at the job. His proposal was fair and fast, he started the work less than a week later and completed it ahead of schedule. The environment is **** ** wood trim by the beach and Gary and his super polite workers did an excellent job prepping the wood, first power washing it and then taking the time to sand it properly. It looks incredible and we are looking forward to it lasting because of the high quality products Gary used. Gary was friendly and easy to work with and his workers cleaned up inside and out when they were finished. Stellar job!"

"Joe uses very good judgement in all my repairs. He quickly responded to this service call placed by the tenant. He assessed the age of the water heater and advised it was past it's useful life and recommended replacing.
He does service calls on all my rentals from minor repairs to complete remodeling. His judgement is good on what needs fixing or replacing. His rates are very fair plus his quick turn around of the homes gets vacant rentals back on the market quickly. "This review for Regal Construction is overdue but I can recommend this company with more confidence now since I have never seen a construction company (or any companies) stands by their work beyond the scope of the agreement. My husband and I have experienced six contractors since 1998 for remodeling and landscaping of our homes. Being matched with a reliable, competent and civilized contractor seems to require more than online research; Rather, you need a luck equivalent to the chance of jackpot in Vegas. For our current home, we planned the remodeling of the entire downstairs which included kitchen, family room, living room, powder room, laundry room, gym and bathroom. After interviewing several contractors very, very carefully (since we had a contractor from **** in 2016), we decided to work with The Regal; Sean and Shaul. They were very precise with the budget and timeline while explaining each phase of work in detail; nothing too extravagant or too cheap to achieve. We started in March 2020 and finished the project by June as they promised. Most importantly within the budget and timeline plus some extra improvement of the house thanks to their recommendation that eventually saved us a lot of energy and money. I am not saying that the entire experience was as smooth and rosy as it may sound like; There were some moments of tension and questions on the way like any remodeling projects would create. But all within my realistic expectations and any issues were quickly resolved with the sincerity and efforts of Sean and Shaul. They are such civilized professionals that communication was the best part of the whole project (very rare in the field of construction). My husband and I are professionals so dealing with people who are deceiving or irrational has been the most challenging task along with our aging brains. The project manager Shaul was a god sent and he made the whole experience quite comfortable and sane. Also, all their workers were polite, clean and hard-working (again very rare). I have waited to write a review more than two years because I wanted to see how their warranty service would work out. It was beyond my picky expectations! They are highly responsible for their job and extremely prompt, sincere and efficient with any issues related to their work (they don't seem to care about expenses to make sure all is in a great working condition). We are done with our home renovation but we will definitely recommend The Regal to our children or friends with great confidence. It was a good match after all! :)"
