I had spoken to him the day before the appointment and he informed me that there would be a 55 dollars fee for the visit which would get folded into the actual cost of the repair should I decide to proceed. I had four appliance issues that needed to be addressed of which David successfully resolved 2. The others needed a replacement of the appliance and replacement of a part respectively...both of which I obviously did not proceed with. I ended up paying 180 dollars for the visit which felt a tad steep. I was expecting to pay anywhere between 100 to 125 dollars considering that only two items were actually repaired and an hour of work was what was needed. Other than that...I had no other issues."

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."
