"Paramount Granite Company was a joy to work with! They offered an incredibly reasonable and detailed estimate (including options and their costs) within a day. When I visited their offices, I was treated with respect and courtesy. Barb answered my questions and showed me their slabs of granite (as well as the sinks and faucets they offer). I had already viewed slabs of granite at the various warehouses, but they had some beautiful pieces to choose from. I ended up picking a gorgeous piece of St. Cecelia granite from their selection, which just happened to be in the least expensive category.
The whole process was made easy by Angie's prompt and helpful responses to my emails. Paramount was flexible with my schedule when we needed to postpone the installation by a week. On the day of installation, the workers arrived on time and worked quickly and excellently. I was impressed when they discovered (from a spec sheet they brought along) that the particular slide-in range we had chosen needed rounded corners for the opening. The worker finished the job except for this part, drove back to the office and returned within the hour with the rounded piece to complete the job perfectly!
Paramount Granite Company is a first-rate company. I would highly recommend them to any of my friends. I am simply thrilled with my countertops and the excellent experience I had with Paramount.

"Replacing the staircase light fixture was a difficult job requiring the use of a ladder, a step ladder and an aluminum plank to create a level workspace in order to access the light. The new pendant was lowered by 6 inches, compared to the old one, to allow easy exchange of light bulbs. The electrician was creative in solving some installation problems.  He also saved me some money by advising me that some other electrical work I was considering might not be necessary."

They showed up exactly on time.  They had a challenging task of replacing a faucet assembly that was rusted in place, with a faucet that I had purchased.  They were in an out in less than .5 hours.  They were extremely professional and considerate as I was working on the floor directly below them.  A piece that was installed cam loose a few days later, and they were there in a few hours to make sure it was repaired.  It has been three months and all is great.  It was a tough job - as they had to bust out the old faucet, but they stuck to their original Angie's List advertised price.

He was also open to trying new material, copper, to the lattice panels. He also was so kind and installed four steel hooks so we could hang additional plants."

"In the ad for this service it said he handled minor electrical and plumbing issues. Well, upon arrival he told us he could not install dimmer switches or fix a leaky sink. I think those are minor issues. Also, no ladder to install the vent cover. Luckily we had enough other odd jobs around the house to keep him busy for the day. The work he did was satisfactory, but the fact that the actual "handyman" work we needed done is still undone results in an average "c" grade. Ad was misleading and he would not even give me a quote to paint my front porch at a later date. He apparently doesn't do porches or decks either. Really.
All in all, he was a nice enough guy, and I got a lot of chores done around the house, but we still need a handyman and painter to come out do the repairs and upgrades we wanted to get done with this deal. Was it worth $250 for 8 hours, maybe, maybe not.
