"I contacted Jimmy about repairing an error on my dishwasher. I received a phone call less than 24 hours after making the request through Home Adviser. Jimmy was very nice on the phone and extremely pleasant. I set up the appointment for the next day. Unfortunately I travelling on business so I wasn't home when Jimmy arrived. I was told by my son that Jimmy spent about 15-20 minutes looking at the dishwasher and left. When I tried contracting Jimmy for an update, I received no reply. Overall the problem was never corrected. And I was never charged for the visit. Nevertheless, it would have been nice if he simply said I'm not familiar with the brand of appliance or a return phone call. When it comes to specific appliances, I think I will stick with the manufacture service repair and rely on Home Advisor for other services."

"I called around to multiple repair companies that I found on Google, Yelp, Angie’s List and Kenmore/Sears trying to find a company that would send service representative right away. The Kenmore representative was available 10 days after the date of my call. After comparing multiple companies, their timeline and prices I went with Quick Fix Appliance Services. They sent a representative the next day. The two service men were prompt and fixed my stove within half an hour. I was very pleased with their attention to detail and cleanliness."

"Our washing machine broke down on Saturday afternoon -- why do appliances always break on the weekend? -- and it is no longer covered by warranty. We had used A & S before and were very satisfied with their service so we thought we would try them again.  We called them early Monday morning and they agreed to send a tech between 3:00 and 6:00 that day.  At 3:00, the tech Schuyler called to inform us that he would be at our home in 10 minutes.  We showed him the washer and described the problem.  He checked out the unit and quickly diagnosed the problem as a broken motor coupler.  He gave us an estimate for the time and cost to repair and we agreed.  He had the necessary part and tools in his truck and quickly returned to make the repair. He carefully moved a few things out of his way in the laundry room and tilted the washer in order to make the repair.  All told, he took about 15 minutes to remove the damaged part and install the replacement.  After he re-positioned the washer and replaced the items that he had to move, he tested the machine thoroughly and let it run while he returned his tools to his truck and wrote up the invoice.  He also gave us his cell phone number so we could call him in case we noticed any problems with the repair.  The invoice price matched the estimate exactly, as it should.  Overall, it was another excellent experience with a very good service company."
