We've been doing a lot of the finish work ourselves, but couldn't figure out the window trim.  Kevin figured it out and completed the work, but it took longer than we thought.  He charged for the extra time at the rate he promised for the special, and we were happy to pay it.

"Abel is fabulous. I gave him the key to the house and let him work when I was gone. He had to coordinate with a plumber who was redoing all plumbing. Even though he had other clients, he managed to accommodate the schedule of the plumber and also some snafus in tile delivery.
Before hiring him I asked him for opinions and his answers helped me to make decisions about the shower (eg to do fewer shelves and to put the tiles to the ceiling.) He also had photos on his phone to show me right then and there. I liked that we could communicate via email (because I don't text). I chose him based on his work at a friend's house and also for his skill as a framer so I didn't have to hire and coordinate someone else to do adjustment of the wall. This needed to be adjusted to fit the new plumbing fixtures. He was clear about how much of the finish work he would do and we agreed I would get someone else to do the trim and painting.
He was respectful of my home and always laid drop cloths. He and his helper always left things neat when they finished for the day.
He measured carefully and the man who installed my shower doors says he has rarely seen such exact measurements of tilework.
He reinforced areas where a grab bar will go and put in the backing for the tile. — taking photos of the supports for future reference.
But the best is, when the plumber returned to do his work, he noticed that there was some substance in the drain thinking it was concrete from the shower floor work. I knew this was impossible since I had seen myself how well he had covered up the drain. I contacted Abel and he immediately came out, found grout in the drain and vacuumed it out. Only the best can rectify a mistake so honorably.
