"I love the new garage doors that I got through Haney Door Service. I love the fact that they glide up and down so smoothly and almost silently. I love the fact that they open and close with a single light touch of the remote, even from a block away from my house. I love the fact that the doors were installed expertly in about 3 hours. Several neighbors have come by to talk, and nearly always they compliment me on the new doors. We have 3 garage bays, and the openings are 16x7 and 8x7. Since my house faces directly south, and while in the winter the sun is great for melting snow off my driveway, in summer the garage becomes unbearably hot from constant baking in the sun. For this reason I selected doors with a higher-than-usual amount of insulation, and also darkened windows across the tops to allow more light into the garage without so much heat. The windows transform the whole interior space, from a cave-like dark hole into a pleasant place to work. New garage door openers do a lot more today than the old units ever could. I recommend that you talk to Haney about what a new opener can do for you. After the installation, I kept the panels of the old doors, and all the hardware from the old opener. I sold everything rather easily, which together made a significant discount from the new doors' overall installed cost. The garage door business is a competitive one, so I don't think you need to get a dozen estimates to make a good choice. Much more important is being comfortable with the people you are dealing with.
