"We had a big project to be completed, not your typical garage door installation. We had three garage door companies come out and only one that was interested in doing the work was Revamp Garage Door. He provided a bid for the demolition and installation. Charles was great to work with, he was prompt from the time we contacted him to quote the work all the way through to complete installation. Our garage doors were walled in with windows that the previous owner had their office in this area. Revamp demoed the entire project, hauled away the materials, framed up for the new doors, installed the two doors and garage door openers. Charles was very prompt, professional and the quality of his workmanship was outstanding. If he didn't like it, he redid it. This wasn't a typical garage door project, but we are tickled with the transition and couldn't be happier with the final outcome."

"We came home the evening before the service was done, & couldn't get our garage door to open. We discovered that one of the torsion springs had snapped (it's 16 years old).  I called the company at about 9:00 PM & left a message with their answering service. Someone from the company called back the next morning, & a technician was at our house by about 1:00 PM the next day.  Thankfully we didn't have to work that day, as my husband's car was trapped in the garage; they may have been there even sooner if we had.  My husband was home when the service was performed, & said the technician was very nice, & completed the job in about an hour.

"the job was done correctly. He arrived as he said he would. But I thought 319 dollars was a little high for installing two new garage door springs and an hour of work. But my garage door works good and the instalation went well and professionally."

"From start to finish, CastlePro Garage Doors was a wonderful company to work with for our new garage door install. We have a detached garage that is located behind our house in an alley. Since it is not a main focal point of the house, I underestimated how much a new garage door could brighten up our property. When the install was complete, I was amazed by how much curb appeal our new door added to our space. It looks like a completely different garage! Nick was very knowledgeable and explained the benefits and features of our chosen door in great detail, and he took his time to ensure that the work was done properly. He tested the door many times before leaving, and although we elected not to install an opener, he assured us he could come back at any time to put one in for us if we changed our minds. Overall, I would highly recommend CastlePro Garage Doors for all your garage door needs. They are professional, reliable, and willing to travel. Thanks for a job well done!"

"I contacted Resnick Garage Doors to troubleshoot and service my two garage doors. Adam and Jeff stopped by my house on-time and provided excellent service. They recommended that I replace my 30 year-old broken garage door with a new one, which I did. They were very professional and did a great job with the installation. I’m very pleased with their service!"

FAQs for garage door opener installation and replacement projects in Pittsburgh, PA

A chain-drive opener costs less, but it’s louder and needs more upkeep. If your budget allows, a belt-drive model is often the smarter long-term buy, especially for an attached garage with a bedroom above where noise matters. The decision between a chain or belt opener comes down to your budget and needs, and your garage door opener installer can help you choose an option that best suits you.

Choosing the right horsepower for your garage door opener is crucial for safe and efficient performance. Your garage door’s design and material determine the required horsepower. A single-car garage demands a half horsepower rating, while a two-car garage requires a rating between three-fourths and 1.25 horsepower. Selecting the proper power level ensures optimum performance and durability over the life of the opener.

Plan on a quick garage door tune-up once or twice a year. Tighten the chain or belt, lubricate moving parts, test the safety sensors, and swap out weak batteries in the remotes or backup unit. A few dollars in lubricant and 30 minutes of work can fend off costly repairs, keep the door running smoothly, and help the opener hit its full life expectancy.
