Small jobs welcome

I have spent the last four years remodeling and constructing new buildings, working for other companies such as Hausmann Construction and Samsung Construction—including on the renovation of the football stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska. I have carried out renovations of churches and schools, as well as basements, garages, bathrooms, and kitchens. Now, I have established my own company, and I am ready to apply all my expertise to grow my business.

"<p>After living with a pink bathtub and pink sink for several years – I decided to update my bathroom.  I started by creating a list of updates that I wanted to make which included replacing the pink fixtures, change out the wall/shower surround tiles, installing a heated tile floor, replacing the window and adding an exhaust fan.  I secured a few bids and Service Calls was the least expensive. </p> <p>After I gave Service Call the go ahead, they took care of coordinating all the work.  I appreciate how Dan worked with me to present options such as replacing or resurfacing the existing tub.  Dan presented the pro’s and con’s for each choice and helped me decide how I wanted to proceed (I ultimately decided to resurface the tub). Dan even suggested a few ways I could save some money (such as doing the painting myself). </p> <p>I appreciated that the worked took the time to cover my wood floors during demo and took care to protect my property.  I did have quite a bit of construction dust when they were doing drywall work, but I think that is the nature of the beast. </p> <p>Dan communicated with me on a regular basis to keep in informed of the progress. Dan also promptly answered any questions I had along the way – either my phone, text or email.  </p> <p>One thing that surprised me was the Service Call did not require me to put down a deposit for them to get started.  I did not have to pay for the project until it was complete. </p> <p>After living with the new bathroom for a month, I had a few small items that needed to be addressed (the shower head had a little leak and about an inch of grout was missing on some of the wall surround tiles.  I called Service Call and the followed up promptly to resolve the few issues.  </p> <p>My project took about a month to complete.  Dan worked with me on the timeline.  I know if I didn’t have a second bath he would be have able to coordinate the project so I wouldn’t be without a bath. </p> <p>My overall Service Call bill was right at $9,000. I spent about $1000 on tile, $750 on plumbing fixtures/faucets, $150 on electrical fixtures (new wall light and exhaust fan) and $100 on paint. All in my project was just about $11,000.</p>"

"<strong><em>We attempted to obtain bids from two other local  providers and didn't even receive return phone calls from them.  After obtaining Terry's name from Angie's List, we telephoned Terry and he was in our home within the hour to give us an estimate.  The estimate was somewhat broad as it was not possible to determine how difficult it would be to remove the old wood flooring that had been glued to the cement slab in our kitchen-dining area. He gave us several flooring options and even assisted us at Lowe's to select appropriate material.<br /> When it was time to start the work, Terry appeared promptly when he said he would.  He removed the old flooring, which was difficult, but worked very quickly and efficiently. The following day, he again appeared promptly and commenced installation of the new floating Pergo flooring.  He again worked quickly and was able to bring in an associate to handle a plumbing item when that became necessary.  He knows a variety of workmen in the area and has the ability to get things done.<br /> Terry was truly professional in his manner and workmanship and we are thrilled with the results.  He was very fair in his pricing and the job came in considerably under estimate.  We would have no hesitation in referring him to friends and neighbors as he truly "delivers".  We have another project pending and he will definitely be our first contact when we are ready to proceed.  Thanks to Terry and to Angie's List for the recommendation! </em></strong> <br />"

"We selected Trinity Exteriors to repair our home after the hail storm on June 11th, 2017 in Blaine. We needed a new roof, windows, siding and gutters. They did an incredible job and everyone was extremely friendly and professional. They were always very responsive when we called or emailed and quick to address any concerns we had during the repairs. This even occurred during the lack of labor many other contractors experienced in the same time period. Ted and Kevin personally came out on many occasions to see how we were doing and make sure we were happy with the progress. Finally, they worked directly with our insurance company and were able to get several additional items covered that were missed or denied. Ted Swanson has built a great company and it was a pleasure to work with him, Kevin, Jessie, Jarrad, Miguel and the rest of his team!"

"<p> I had been getting water in the basement (seepage) with heavy rains.  In addition to the foundation repair, I had some gutter work done, broken patio concrete removed, and dirt brought in, all to mitigate water problems.</p> <p>K-West used sub-contractors for HVAC, plumbing, flooring, drywall, and electrical, but over-saw the whole project and did the carpentry in the craft room, finish work, and all the painting.  They also replaced windows and had to rebuild the stairway because of city code.</p> <p>The finished product is beautiful.  Unfortunately, with our very heavy rains in May and June this year I still got some seepage.  Maybe there is nothing that could be done realistically to prevent some water in such conditions.</p> <p>The length of time for the project was several months longer than expected; some delay was due to times when I didn't want workers here, but there were weeks at a time when they were on other jobs.</p> <p>Also the entire project cost about 50% more than bid, but most of that was due to my requesting extras.</p> <p>Over-all the work is excellent.  Ken's staff are all wonderful guys, and the subcontractors were all also very professional and pleasant to work with.</p> <p><br /></p> <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Lincoln, NE

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
