"Robert Boccia, the owner of the company, came to my rescue within about an hour of when I called. A rental property had a complete blockage in the waste line. He rearranged his schedule so they could do the line replacement the next day. His crew began working around 9am. The waste lines for all the other houses in the neighborhood line up with the front bedroom window. That also lined up with where waste water lines were found in the house. The crew worked hard to minimize damage to the tree that my late father had planted and loved. When, after several attempts, the waste line couldn't be found, calls were made to the City offices to determine where the line actually was. While time and effort could have been saved by calling ahead, in most cases, it wouldn't have been necessary because waste lines are typically buried in a predictable fashion. My house proved to be the exception. Finding out where the waste line was actually located turned out to be good news and bad news. Instead of being to the left of the walkway to the house, it was on the right UNDER a concrete parking pad. This significantly changed the scope of the job. Again, the crew found a solution that minimized damage: instead of breaking up the entire parking pad to dig out the old line, they took out the rightmost portion of the pad, which, happily, came away cleanly, and dug a trench to the right of the clogged/collapsed portion of the line. They found the waste line close to the house, attached new pipes and then ran a new line to the right of the old line, essentially doing a bypass. I had previously spoken to another company about my waste line problem, and they didn't know their right hand from their left. I'm so glad I called Glenoak Plumbing to do this job. "Excellent! Being on a limited budget, I had called several plumbers to get an affordable price. I had spoken with some very nice people, but James Fama owner of Quality Plumbing was the only person who actually listened to me. I told him that I was fairly certain of what the problem was because in younger years I had fixed it myself. He was the only plumber that quoted me a price on exactly what I wanted fixed. Some of the other plumbers quoted outrageous prices for some ridiculously unnecessary work, some scoffed at what I said the problem was, but not James. He genuinely listened, asked questions and even though I did not know the lingo he knew what I was talking about. He did quote "worse case scenario" prices to me just in case and even those were quite fair. Mr. Fama came at the scheduled time and went right to work. The job was done quickly and precisely as we had discussed. It went so smooth in fact, that I asked him to fix a pipe for a sink that hadn't worked in years. He had to go to Home Depot to get the part but, he was very quick about it and had the sink fixed in a very timely manner. Mr. Fama did not waste a lot of time talking when he got here because he went straight to work, but after the job was finished we did chat a little bit. He is a quiet, very likeable and amiable man. He said that he was a small business with only one truck and that it is hard to compete with the "fleet of truck" businesses sometimes. That statement got me thinking that I was more impressed with this hard working man of his word than I could ever have been with those larger companies who in some cases seem to have forgotten the "human aspect" of the job. It is my sincere hope that the people who read this will consider giving the smaller businesses like Quality Plumbing a fighting chance. Bigger may not always be the more prudent choice. In closing I would like to add, that being a disabled, senior citizen it is so hard to find companies with integrity, as many of you may already know. Therefore; I would recommend Quality Plumbing to all Senior Citizens as well as anyone with a handicap or disability because I was treated with honesty, fairness and respect. I asked Mr. Fama to give me a big handful of his business cards to carry in my purse, so I could hand them out to everyone. This is the kind of "word of mouth" advertising that Quality Plumbing has earned and whole heartedly deserves."

"There was something that was in the drain so that when water was going in one direction it would be fine but if there there was something down the disposal it would flip it and the it would have a clog and they cleared that. They were straight forward, they got the job done proficiently and professionally."

"James did multiple jobs for me after diagnosing the actual problem. Correcting the issue required james to replace part of an old pipe which could only be accessed through a ceiling. James not only fixed the plumbing issue, he completed the carpentry work and repaired the ceiling. He also replaced my shower floor and the tiles surrounding it. "Overall we had a great experience with American Kitchen Concepts. We purchased an eighteen year old home that needed a little updating, particularly in the kitchen. We also wanted to continue the existing oak wood floors from the other rooms into the kitchen and family room (open kitchen concept). We decided the extensive flooring project should be done before moving in, so as soon as our offer was accepted and the home inspection was scheduled I contacted several companies that specialized in kitchen renovations to come out and give us a quote during the home inspection. Many of the contractors weren’t will to come out without us actually owning the home yet, but Dan Millard with American Kitchen Concepts was willing to meet with us. Dan was prompt and very accommodating during the home inspection. He was also easy going about the few other competitors that came out to give us similar quotes at the same time. What I enjoyed most about Dan in comparison to the other contractors was that he seemed trustworthy and willing to work with our budget to help us get what we wanted but could also afford. After we signed the contract with Dan he was great about assisting us with selecting our kitchen design. He wasn’t pushy or overbearing. He was helpful and gave suggestions when needed. The project did cost more than we originally expected, but this mostly due to the refinishing of the existing wood floors in the entire main level of the house so that the new wood floors in the family room and kitchen would match. And as far as timeline, the project stayed mostly on schedule. We had a one week delay at the start, but the project was completed before our official move in date. I’ve heard that delays with renovation projects are common, and that one week was minor compared to others experiences. I do think that our renovation was probably simpler than most. We didn’t reconfigure anything. Basically American Kitchen Concepts took out the outdated aspects of the kitchen and replaced them with a newer, updated look. Our renovation didn’t require moving any walls, or switching the plumbing around, or anything as complicated as that. We did have some changes to the electrical, but nothing too major. When I look at our new kitchen design I am really happy with the final product. Dan took the ideas that I suggested and made it a reality for us. We are more than satisfied with our kitchen remodel, and would recommend American Kitchen Concepts to others."

"We've used Constantly Running for plumbing issues such as fixture replacements and pipe leaks and have been very satisfied with work performed by James Russell, proprietor, and his staff.  We'd had them out to install a new garbage disposal and snake a slow bathtub drain.  While cleaning out the drain James discovered that there was a small hole in the drain pipe that had been covered by accumulations of debris that once removed, allowed water to drain through the hole onto the ceiling of the room below.  In conversations about the state of the bathroom in general, we'd mentioned that it was our intention at some point to have the bathroom renovated. They had to return to replace the defective portion of drain pipe and repair the ceiling of the room below and while they were working, James offered to renovate the bathroom at a price that sounded eminently reasonable.  I wasn't aware that this was a service he offered, but since we've always been impressed with his work, we decided to go ahead with the project.  At first glance if looked straight-forward, in term of removing old wall and floor tile and replacing it, as well as the tub enclosure and the vanity.  It turned out to be a larger project, as the all the walls and flooring need to be taken down to the wood frame.  The walls and flooring were replaced, and new tiles, fixtures and paint that we had chosen and purchased were installed.  The craftmanship was exemplary.  James and his staff were totally competent, eminently courteous and friendly, and the job was done in a timely manner.  The renovation turned out better than we had ever thought possible, and we are very happy to have been able to work with him, and hope to do so again with another bathroom.
