"We have used The North Star Companies for several jobs in the past, with the most recent being the largest. We hired them do a complete renovation of our home in Severn. The job grew larger as demo began and turned into a job requiring the rebuild of exterior walls, demo of concrete slabs - basically the house had to be rebuilt from the ground up. All new plumbing, electric, framing, windows, siding, roof, etc. I have known Chris for 20+ years and was confident that our forever home would be solid and done right. We had a few hiccups throughout the process - as this was done during Covid, so there were supply issues, delays and so forth, but Chris and his guys did an amazing job. "I've been pleased with previous jobs they've done for me.  And I am pleased with this one.  There were a few minor issues relating to my old house not being square, but they solved the problem quickly and got on with the job.  I am quite pleased with their attention to detail and finish work.  The new doors do not have the character that the old (original) dutch doors did, but they also do not leak like a sieve.  The new doors were an upgrade to fiberglass that Dimitri's knowledge of the product encouraged me to make from steel and I am very happy with the products they chose.  While they were here, I asked them to switch the doorknob from the old kitchen door to the basement and they did that.  At my request, they also took a look at my roof (I'd been told it had 5-7 years when we bought the house, 7 years ago) and told me that it did not need to be replaced anytime soon.  They do good work and are honest and trustworthy.  I highly recommend them.
