"Home Systems Appliance Repair did an excellent repair on my 18 year old panel-ready 42 inch Built-In counter depth GE Profile Refrigerator. The original GE tech who looked at the leak in the freezer evaporator a year ago, told me the refrigerator was non repairable because the "vacuum pump" retrofit part it needed was no longer available. After paying his $200 visit fee for a 2 minute consultation, he offered me a discount on a new GE refrigerator to fit which had not been built yet. Fast forward to now, GE does have 42 inch built-in counter depth Monogram side-by-side for $12,000 and $2,000 of Kraftmaid panels. Home Systems Appliance Repair cost me $400 to identify and fix a broken heat transfer tab in the freezer evaporator unit. I saved $15,000 - - not bad for paying Appliance Repair for a 2 hour job. "I had my appointment with Mr. Harmond W. on May 07, 2022. It was rather easy to set up appointments and the site makes it rather easy to reschedule (which I've had to do). One has to know where to draw the line. I will hire someone once I have the part in hand. I already have someone in mind, also referred by Angi. Luckily, I didn't have to do any thing too cumbersome. I gained some handy tools at well. I really liked using the nutdriver vs a screwdriver. So I've added all the necessary tools I need for the appointment to my collection, and they will be handy in the future. Overall this was an optimal experience and I would certainly refer and use Neli in the future. If you are confident in unscrewing/re-screwing, and removing parts of your appliance, I'd say give it a try. NOTE: Also understand that this an all virtual service. They quoted a price to come out and assess, but did not charge for doing so, although we had call them the day of the appointment to remind them of the appointment. They made sure to mention in the initial phone call that they buy and sell houses as well. They came out and once we mentioned that we were soon selling our house, they were more concerned with telling us what repairs needed to be done in the entire house, than with focusing on the repair they were requested to assess. The estimate was for $1500-$8000, depending on if we just wanted the repair of the shower leak or the entire bathroom redone. There was an access panel, which they saw and pointed out at the visit, that could have been an option to use for the repair, but instead their estimate was for the route of repairing through the tiling in the bathroom. We went with a different plumber and got the shower repaired done for under $100."
