"The installation process was for the most part smooth. The crew showed up earlier than scheduled and worked straight through the evening so we wouldn’t have to add another day to the install. There was a small miscommunication regarding how long the job would take, but it was quickly rectified. The project manager was mostly in communication via phone, but it would have been better to have them on site to communicate expectations throughly. However, the follow up from the project manager at the completion since then has been wonderful. In general, all staff from the company was very personable and knowledgeable. I’d recommend the company to my peers and would utilize them again. "

"Virginia Exterior Products did an amazing job on our home. They paid attention to all the architectural details when they installed the vinyl siding, so much so that many neighbors didn't realize it was vinyl siding. They also replaced all the windows and rebuilt the front porch. We have received so many compliments; they truly have exceeded my expectations. Their price was in line, or a little more than other contractors we got quotes from, but I doubt that the other contractors would have done as good a job; they offer a great value, plus they replaced all rotten wood without charging us extra, like the other contractors would have. I highly recommend them. One of the best contracting experiences I've had."

"I purchased 11 windows from fairway on 6/27 with a 4-8 week timeframe. They said it may run up to 9-12 weeks due to supply delays and that was fine with me. After 3 months I contacted them and was told they aren’t in with no estimated arrival date. I continued to call and sometimes I was able to get through to the receptionist who was always in her car and didn’t have any additional information to provide. She would always say that Gary would get in contact with me but out of all the calls I made, I was only able to speak to him once. I continued calling and by late October they finally said 5 were in and agreed to install them which was done on 10/31 and said they would discount me $150.. They did not notify me that they were coming to install on that day and left the door to my unit open but at least half were done so I was somewhat relieved!! I proceeded to call until late December and they continued to say no windows. At this point, I asked to cancel them because I was looking at selling and since over 6 months had passed I no longer had need for them. They said this wasn’t an option and that it would have to be canceled through the manufacturer. I asked for that number but they wouldn’t provide it and said she would have to call to check. No update was ever given. Now we are at mid March, a full 9 months since ordering and I have given up on receiving the windows. They required half a deposit upfront which was 2001.58. The windows that I did not receive were going to require more work removing the steel so they were more expensive than the 5 I did get. So in short, over the last 9 months, I ended up receiving half my order and paid $2000 of the $4000 bill but only received $1375 worth of my order. I feel liked I was scammed out of my money for services that were never going to be provided and I just want a return of my deposit that was taken from me. Now after seeing how many others are in the reviews experiencing the same thing I filed a complaint with BBB and my credit card company."

The men picking up and delivering the car have always been pleasant and cooperative. Both Ely and Guy at United Transport has been highly responsive to my needs. "Overall the quality of work turned out nice. However, the experience with DFC Home Improvement was not exceptional. The administration process was messy to say the least. This ranged from permits being disapproved due to submitting incorrect blueprints to the county and long winded conversations with the owner Brian. A word of advice is to screenshot and save all quotes DFC Home Improvements sends out, as I believe they are modified and update previous versions on their site. Ultimately, we were happy with the quality of work. The project was completed in six weeks, when expected to finish in five. The total cost was $45,950 when the quote was for $38,750 about 18.5% over estimate. I have other projects that I wanted to complete in the future, but I think I will find another contractor for those."
