"We hired Plymouth Meeting Nursery to completely transform the exterior landscape of our 100+ year-old home, where we live with our three young children and our ever-faithful golden retriever. As a licensed landscape architect, we approached this project with high standards and were looking for a contractor who offered fair, transparent pricing, excellent craftsmanship, and timely execution. Plymouth Meeting Nursery delivered on all counts. The scope of work was extensive and included the demolition of all existing landscaping, a deck, concrete walkways, fencing, and excess soil. In its place, the team installed new fencing, a beautiful cedar pergola, repointed brickwork on our home, irrigation, a synthetic lawn alongside fresh sod and thoughtfully selected plantings, outdoor lighting, a stunning bluestone patio with brick steps and retaining wall, a brick and bluestone fireplace, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen featuring a grill, sink, ice maker, and refrigerator. Major issues: The wall was not leveled to the lawn; therefore exposing the dirt and cracks were filled in with pebbles. I expected the wall to be the same height as the lawn all around. The owner, Stephen was shouting and talking aggressively to me. It was so loud that my neighbors came out to see what was going on. I guess since I am an older black woman, I should except this type of treatment, I say otherwise. All he had to do was add more blocks and I would have paid him. He demanded full payment and claimed to write an another estimate once he figured how to fix the issue. Really? He even threatened to take the wall down. He claimed that he could not tell my property was on a slope -his misjudgment. I ended up with a short wall on one side, a disfigured lawn, and cracks filled in with pebbles. Payment was never the issue. $300.00 added for wall extension prior to demo."
