"I called The Driveway Lady to get a quote and ideas on how to solve a difficult problem with my concrete porch. My home was built in the late 1800s and has a large raised concrete wrap around porch surrounded by beautiful stone walls. Replacement would be prohibitive, but there were some substantial cracks and pitting. It was like walking on an ocean reef, it was so rough, and the repairs made to the cracks wouldn’t hold, but Jean determined that it was otherwise secure with no water penetration below. She suggested they repair the cracks with hydraulic cement and then coat the entire surface with Miracote to seal both the cracks and smooth the surface and protect from future pitting. They worked with me to get the color right when I didn’t like the initial application.  Jean stands by her work and does an outstanding job. The people she has working for her are also courteous, pleasant and easy to work with. I can’t recommend her and her team enough."

"I needed stucco repair work on an old chimney (and other spots). Grady was meticulous and thoughtful on what approaches and materials would work. Throughout the project they allocated sufficient time for each treatment to cure and inspected the work before proceeding to the next step. Grady started the project with no money down and only required ongoing payments for materials until the project was well underway. The final payment was due only after they did a final inspection. Total project cost was also below other bids."

"Pat and his team were, by and large, fantastic. They executed on all aspects of the original quote flawlessly. The ribbon pointing around the stonework, especially in the front part of the house, turned out very nice. We're extremely happy with how the masonry looks. It went so smoothly, we added additional work onto the quote to seal the concrete and touch up paint along the exterior of the house. The painting wasn't as neat or clean as it could have been - it's probably a little step above what I could have done. Mostly importantly, when we encountered a couple of problems along the way, they were responsive and went above and beyond to sort it out. I think they approached the whole project very well, and even worked with us on the price for the add-ons. All-in-all, super solid work from a super solid contractor. Highly recommended."

"We had a shed pad installed for our new shed. Bob really worked to make sure we understood the different types of pads we could get as well as the ground leveling process. He was the only contractor we talked to that put the pad in the ground (excavating some dirt) so that it didn't just sit on top. As an added bonus, he swiped away a patch of really thick ivy that we've been struggling with. When scheduling the pad, he did delay the installation due to weather issues, showing real concern that if we didn't delay at least a day, the installation would be less than the professional level he likes to leave with. I left for the morning to go to work and when I came home, the pad was ready for a shed.
Bob shows a concern for his homeowner's well being in all matters and is very knowledgable. I fully recomend him to anyone seeking a similar install, and will consider Rock-a-fella's when ever I have a gravelly/patio/deck need in the future.

"I live in a house that is over 100 years old with a stone foundation that also forms the basement walls. The old mortar between the stones had deteriorated over the years to the point that water would seep in in multiple places along the perimeter of the basement wall. This seepage basically occurred after every rain, and I always needed to move objects stored in the basement away from the perimeter for fear that they would be water damaged. I actually wasn’t very confident that the seepage problem could be fixed, but I finally decided to contact several basement contractors to determine if there was anyway to waterproof the basement. I ultimately decided to hire Basement Gurus because Mike (initial company contact) sold me on the idea and that their workers were the best in the business. Well, it’s been seven weeks since the basement work was completed, and even though we’ve had a couple of nor’easters with heavy rain blow through the area, the basement has been bone dry; the basement work has been a resounding success! I take my hat off to all the good folks at Basement Gurus, in particular Mark, Dylan, Lenny and the other members of the team that worked hard to waterproof my basement.
