A friend from Framingham recommended Horizon Appliance Solutions but said they only work in the Ashland area and I live in Boston. A gentleman answered my call was very polite. I explained my situation and the difficulties I’m having finding someone to do the work. He reassured me that someone will come see the job by the end of that same day. "Double wall oven had an intermittent issue for over two years. When it first started, another company's tech recommended replacing the control and power boards. I did that at a cost of over $600 in parts alone and the problem remained. We decided to live with it after spending that much, but it recently failed completely. Contacted Quick & Eazy Appliance Repair through HomeAdvisor and Josue called almost immediately to set up an appointment for the next day. He and JR came out and spent almost two hours diagnosing the problem. Turned out it a small internal fan wasn't working so they got a price and delivery for it and gave me a quote to replace it on the spot. The only part I wasn't completely comfortable with was having to pay for the entire repair - not just the part - up front before they would order the part. Turned out fine, but not what I've had to do with other service people. Anyway, the part came in sooner that expected and they came out two days later to put it in. Problem solved. After two years of frustration, I wish I had called Josue in the first place. I was an engineering manager and my team had to troubleshoot problems all over the world. I found that someone who can find the difficult problem is very rare and give Josue a lot of credit for his skill in finding this one."

When they came out they told me the compressor needed replacing in the refrigerator and it would cost $800.00

plus labor. They also told me I needed 4 new igniters for my gas stove burners. I was quoted a price of $20.00 - $30.00

per igniter plus labor. It cost me $89.00 for the estimate on 8-31-2015. I was told they would contact me when the parts

came in .They came back on 9-16-2015 to repair the burners. I had been expecting a quicker return date. I don't see why it took over two weeks to get 4 igniters. The igniters were replaced quickly and I was charged $181.25 for parts and labor. It seemed to me to be a little on the high side but I didn't question it at the time. When I looked at the receipt later to figure out how much I was charged  for parts vs. labor the receipt was not itemized so I could not tell. My main complaint is that less than two weeks later on

9-27-2015 one of the burners failed to lite again. I would not expect that to happen. I will

have to contact them and hope I don't get charged again to come back out and look at it again. If I do get charged for another house call I will not be using them again.

After removal of the old deck wood, it was determined that further reinforcement would be needed in order to do this job properly. Therefore, original estimate had to be adjusted quite a bit, to account for the extra labor needed to perform the reinforcement. Alex and his team completed the job in about three weeks, with most of the days in cold weather. Several payments were provided throughout the project and there were no hidden costs, they were very upfront in terms of what needed to be done, and were transparent throughout the process. Alex and his team also added, without additional labor cost, repair work for a side door deck, which involved replacement of about 8 boards. All in all, pleased with the work completed, very professional, and both decks look very good. Would use them again for future projects."
