They created a template for the manufacturer and provided all the details to have the three doors built to spec. They did the install, including mating to my existing door openers. "It went well! After inspection the worker/owner suggested that the rollers and springs needed to be replaced and he came up with an additional cost of $200.00. I agreed and the whole project including replacing the rollers and springs and adding the new lift took about 1 and 1/2 hours. So total cost was $625.00 instead of $425.00 but it works great and I have a remote now that I did not have before. Cost was just a little high, but very good work!"

"Ed Shea responded very promptly to our request for an estimate and, once we had started the process, he helped us sort out the various options we were considering for this bathroom. We were rather space-constrained, so he focused on things we could do to make effective use of the space. He also gave us leads to sources of materials (such as tile) that fit the type of design we had in mind. While my husband and I tend to be pretty detail oriented, I think Ed had us beat in this regard at several points along the way. He raised appropriate questions about how a particular fixture or material might look in the overall scheme of things, and he always seemed to be thinking a couple of steps ahead about how to head off potential problems. When his crew opened up the existing ceiling in the bathroom, they encountered an unexpected surprise in the construction of the house that caused them to have to rework the approach to a new light/exhaust fan combination, and they came up with something that worked practically but also esthetically. Ed stayed in regular e-mail communication with us throughout the project, and his team worked well and efficiently to get the job done in a time frame that worked for us. <br /> I would definitely recommend Shea Custom Carpentry (and in fact we are hoping to use them for some future work on our house)."
