"After a recent problem with our gas line, our utility company mentioned that we needed to install sediment traps on our older hot water heater and our furnace. "I left a message on Alan's phone and got a call back quickly. He was able to schedule a visit to help determine why our water pipes were making a lot of noise when the washer was running and when we turned on the water in our laundry room. He measured the water pressure at our faucet and found that it exceeded 100. We needed a new regulator. I also showed him an outdoor faucet that was shooting water in all directions when turned on. He said he could try to get a washer to fix it, but that it was an inexpensive model and would probably need to be replaced. He showed me the washer to demonstrate the poor condition it was in. It looked okay to me, but I did not ask him for a more detailed explanation. He offered to complete the repair that day, but I requested an appointment the following week. He said he would come in the morning. He came closer to noon which made me sit around waiting. I was billed for 3/4 hour for two men at $67.50 each per hour and $100 total for materials."
