"Our brick ranch house was in need of TLC on the old fiber board siding, which my wife and I have painted four times ourselves. We wanted to make the exterior maintenance free with a good quality vinyl siding. We contacted five separate companies, four of which were listed in Angie’s list, to get estimates. We chose The Home Improvement Co. They were neither the highest nor the lowest estimate. We based our decision on the reviews in Angie’s list, pictures of the work that had been accomplished on other jobs, and Matt’s straight forward honest presentation. Matt convinced us that one of the most important details of this work is an experienced crew that knows how to work with the material. We had chosen the insulated backed vinyl siding. The crew (Kevin and Rueben) and Matt arrived Friday and started the demolition on the west side of the house. We were having all the old siding removed and replaced with new board, moisture barrier, and the vinyl siding. They completed that side including cleanup in one day. The whole job was completed by the following Friday. The crew was great. They were friendly and professional, and they worked well together as a team. They answered any question we had and honored any request we made. They also wrapped all the windows and doors with aluminum coil. They transformed the exterior of our home. We are completely satisfied. We comment to each other every time we pull into the driveway how good our home looks now. We still plan on replacement windows and a new back door. "They did the installation while we were on vacation so we didn't observe the job but the resulte were excellent. we love the new surface which cleans to like new with simple rinse off even after the winter's dirt accumulation. "Purchased Angie's List special - 3 hours handyman work.  Mr. Schwenzer faced a daunting task - due to severe foundation issues, one side of the upstairs bedroom door had dropped down considerably, preventing the door from even coming close to closing.  He had to remove the door and all the trim and framing, cut away part of the drywall to square the opening, and then replace everything.  He was able to do so without damaging any of the trim or framing, and the door now closes easily and perfectly.  It took the full three hours and I could not be happier with the result.  I found Mr. Schwenzer to be knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and the quality of his work excellent.  I highly recommend him.

"It went very well - Limpus worked with us to implement what we wanted, even as we were trying to figure it out.  The cabinets were delivered when promised (even early), and the Limpus crew completed the installation in one day.  The entire process, including preparation, laying a new floor, plumbing and electrical work, took about two weeks.  They worked closely with Andy O'Brien (O'Brien Remodeling) who did the necessary demolition and construction.  Everything was perfectly coordinated and was completely satisfactory.  I cannot recommend Andy O'Brien strongly enough.  The $14,000 figure was for both providers."

"Don Jordan was the first contractor to respond to my request for some roof and fascia repairs. He promptly scheduled a time to come out for a free estimate. During his visit he listened to all of my concerns with the roof and then climbed on my steep roof and personally reviewed all of the problematic areas. He also pulled some damaged shingle tabs from the gutters during his free visit. After I acquired quotes from two other contractors, Mr. Jordan stood out from the pack in price and professionalism as well as his Angie?s List reputation. I signed a contract with Jordan Roofing to replace two dead valleys as well as replace some damaged shingles, fascia, and soffit. For the fascia I specifically requested Azek CPVC trim board and Mr. Jordan delivered! He made a special trip out to deliver the trim to my house before my project commencement. Since it was late in the painting season and an extra charge for painting, he gave me the chance to prime and paint the trim to match the rest of my house before he and his crew installed it. On the first day of the project, while removing a gutter in a problematic area of the roof to install new fascia, Don noticed that some of the damage went deeper than we initially thought. He sent me a picture of the issue with his camera phone and then thoroughly discussed his concerns regarding the adjacent area. We agreed on a reasonable price to take care of the rest of the damage and avert additional damage. Later in the day, I met up with him and reviewed the work on my overly complicated roof. In one area, we noticed that due to all of the complexity, some of the shingles were not lining up correctly. Mr. Jordan directed his crew to replace the skewed shingles. He and his crew worked with me to address a dead valley at the back of the house where the steep roof butts into siding for a foot long section. Don Jordan was willing to answer any questions that I had and wanted to make sure that everything was as he promised. A little over two years since the work was completed, both dead valleys appear to be dry as can be.

He was exceptional. Also was very patient with me because I had to document the stages of the tub-to-shower install I took pictures at every stage."
