He built a prototype and came to the house to discuss and confirm design options before building it in his workshop (no mess at our house was a plus). Typical of an old house, the installation required custom fitting. He took his time and made sure every detail was right. It will look even better once we paint and make it the showcase of the room!"

"I have a bridge that is over a creek. The wood at the bottom of the bridge was rotten and unsafe to cross. The craftsmen from Garrett Custom Carpentry were here all day working to replace the wood and did a fantastic job. They replaced all of the rotten wood on the bridge. The bridge is now very sturdy, looks great, and is safe to cross. I will be hiring them for additional carpentry jobs."

"Greystone Interiors provided outstanding service with awesome results for this remodel.  From the initial contact, design guidance given, and planning, Pat Jewell, was there.  The demolition of the existing bathroom was done quickly and with minimum interruption to our daily living. All the steps in the construction were planned and executed so there would be no waiting on materials, etc.  Dale Jewell even designed special cabinets to house our electric toothbrushes.  (An important feature to me.)  Frequent visits by both Pat and Dale were made to ensure that the remodel stayed on track and we were happy with the progress being made. The whole project was beyond our expectations......Oh, and all debris was cleaned up and hauled away each day.  Greystone has already started the second bathroom!!!

"I purchased their Big Deal for $149 on 5/15-- their Angie's List profile said the work would be scheduled within 48 hours and I thought that was great.  However, after purchasing the deal, I got an email saying they were really busy and that it would be more than 48 hours but that they valued my business and would get in touch soon.  Okay, that was fine.  I did finally hear from Hasan the following week, and he scheduled a walk-through with me on 5/23.  This was a week after the purchase, but that seemed reasonable and it was fine with me.  He showed up on time for the walk-through and was very friendly.  I was fine with everything up to that point.  
However, after having the walk-through on 5/23, things came to a grinding halt.  Hasan told me he would get me a quote sometime the following week.  At the end of the next week, I received a phone message that they were still working on it.  (I did appreciate the update, but I wasn't getting any closer to having the work done.)  On June 2nd, I received a mass email from the owner, Jeremy Rosier, saying that their company had been overwhelmed with response to the Big Deals (they offered several) and that they were way behind in their quotes and services.  
While I did appreciate the message (which is why I gave them a B for professionalism), I feel they could have done a better job of following up with quotes and schedules.  With the Big Deal, customers PAY for the service up front.  After 3 weeks I would have expected to have had a quote and a scheduled date -- even if that actual work date was a few weeks out.  
A problem with the whole Big Deal scenario -- since I had already paid for the service, I could not go out and find another provider until I went through Angie's List to request a refund, which I have still not received.  This whole experience has set me back about a month to even get on a schedule to have this work done.
I wish this company well in the future, and hope that after this experience they will be better prepared for the potential overwhelming response to advertised deals.
