Mid state basement systems had the best and most fair pricing. They did not use any scare tactics and were upfront and honest. They were also the only company to use a laser level and show me the sag difference in my joists that I was experiencing. I hired mid-state basement systems to do crawl space support and repair on my load bearing wall in my basement. MY PROBLEM WAS UNIQUE AS LOAD BEARING WALLS NORMALLY DO NOT NEED TO BE REPAIRED LIKE THIS! At first, it was not level upon completion (BARELY 1/8 INCH OFF) in ONE spot and I let my sales rep Jiovanni know. the team came back out within 48 hrs and adjusted everything and let me take a look at it. They did a fantastic job. The installation crew even wiped down my floors for me after they were done! They were so polite, and respectful and made sure there was no damage to anything as they were moving steel beams to my basement ( my fridge was an object in the way to the basement door ) Do not let competitors make you question the validity of this business. they were fantastic. Rating of sales 5/5 Rating of the installation crew 5/5 Rating of management 5/5 Rating of mid-state as a company : 10/5 I do not believe I would have received this level of responsiveness of any of the competitors. I would choose mid-state basements for any basement project I had. Please use my review to know that mid-state basement systems will do the job the right way and how you need it to be done. "Overall, we are not convinced that this installation was worth the cost or disruption and the experience did not meet the expectations we had based on our conversations with the sales rep. While an interior waterproofing system made a lot of sense to address our issues, once work started, it was clear that our house already had an underdrain system in place, but the crew continued demolition and installation. As part of the work, Stay Dry required replacement of our one-year-old sump pump (and battery backup) with their system and charged extra for the battery backup. The crew worked quickly, but caused some unnecessary damage to our finished basement walls and the concrete finish was less smooth than expected. The third star is provided for the follow-up visit by their customer service team to clean up some of those shortcomings."

They hauled out trash & muck from the crawlspace, leveled it, did mold abatement, installed two new sump pumps, dug new drainage inside and outside, insulated the foundation walls, installed a permanent dehumidifier, and encapsulated the entire crawl space. They cleaned up the mess at the end of each work day without prompt. We enjoyed having this work crew in our home and would request the same crew if further services are needed."

"Jrb and their crews were great. Brent came out and gave me a detailed inspection and plan to get my basement fixed. They stabilized a wall and did a whole waterproofing system in 3 days. Have had no issues during recent storms and my space no longer has bad musty odor. Very happy with my service would recommend"

"This is the closest category I could find for what I had done and know that they do this type of work. I hired this company to install a french drain in the back of my yard. There is a hill behind me and the grade from the house made the water collect in a swamp with nowhere to go. They did a great job of trenching out the entire width of that area, added perforated pipe with a filter cloth and gravel, then replacing the topsoil. They put a well with a sump pump at the end and tubing to pump the water out to the front of the house so it would go into the drainage system. Mike Jr., Brandon Powers, Eric Lawhon and Mike Houtchins were the team of workers and did a great job cleaning up afterwards also. It was a pretty large project but it only took them two days to complete. I am very happy with the results and highly recommend them."

"Once the new line was installed I noticed a few issues with the drainage flow.  I emailed Bob Ewing (the owner) regarding the issues I was having.  He was very cooperative and understanding and told me they would "do whatever it took" to correct the situation.  After scheduling them to come look at the job they completely re-worked the line to flow properly.  I was very impressed with the integrity of the company as a whole.  They acknowledged the error and corrected it at absolutely no cost to me and actually improved the system so it worked even better than initially planned.
The crew that came out was professional and courteous.  They removed their shoes before entering the house and cleaned up everything after they were done.   Dirt was raked and mounded and everything was cleaned up before they left.  The backhoe operator was quick and accurate and the other employee's were energetic and worked hard to get the job done quick and accurate.  I was quite impressed with this crew.
I would highly recommend E&K for your excavation and sewer line repairs.  If you want a company that will stand behind it's work and believes in customer satisfaction you have the right contractor.  I personally put more emphasis on companies that will "do whatever it takes" to make a customer happy and do the job right than companies that undercut their competitors but don't stand behind there work.  I also like to deal with companies that will respond in a timely manner when called or emailed after there are issues and not just when selling a job.  Bob always replied to my emails within one work day.  This says a lot about their commitment to their customers.
