"Great work and pricing! The crew came out on time and finished job same day. Very professional and sensible with recommendations. They removed old broken concrete driveway, filled with gravel and poured asphalt over everything. Great edges, smooth surfaces, and all around solid work. Iâ d recommend this company to anyone."

"I hired Ken Mathis to clean, resand and apply a sealant to the pavers on our pool deck. A previous company had done a horrible job and had left our patio a mess. Ken and his crew went above and beyond to remove the old sealant, clean it all up and apply a new sealant. Our pavers look like new and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The crew worked hard, were professional and courteous . I highly recommend this company."

"We contracted with ALL ABOUT PAVERS to remove our old concrete driveway and replace it with cobble pavers. Claudio arrived at the appointed time, measured for the job and gave us an estimate. He suggested we do our walks at the same time. We agreed and signed the contract because the price was reasonable. (We’d already researched costs, materials, work quality, etc) Claudio did everything he said he would do including finishing this beautiful job 1 1/2 weeks early to our complete satisfaction. He is very easy to reach, and takes or returns calls immediately. Claudio is a pleasure to work with and we’ll be hiring him again in the future."

"Both jobs were done to very high standards. 1) The covered patio is 15X30, has stucco pillars, included electrical work to install lights, outlets and ceiling fans. This also included matching to the existing stucco. This project was structural and while the 3 sides are open it is considered to be a 3 season room. This job was approx $20K 2) I had a series of arches and pillars that separated the family room from the kitchen. The pillars were carrying the load for the 2nd story. They had to remove the arches and pillars and replace with a steel beam, move the electrical and HVAC and then all the drywall work after the fact. This was approx $11K Both projects went very well, and I would hire Rob again!"

"Absolutely fantastic!  Years ago I had granite countertops installed.  The installer is now out of business and the sink that was installed eventually separated from the countertops and managed to take all the piping out with it when it fell.  Even though these guys had nothing to do with the installation, Hard Rocks Stone and Tile really helped me out within hours of calling (and two days before Christmas)!  My sink is reattached and I am thrilled they were able to do this for me.  Will definitely call them for new bathroom vanity in the new year!  Thank you very much! <br />"

"I hired Randy Hinkler to clear my property to construct a building.  I don't really remember all the details of cost but it think it was about $4000 to remove 8 large trees and their roots and also level the property in preparation for the building construction.  Randy and his crew were very good and I appreciated his good humor and good work ethic.  He did the job completely to my satisfaction.  His Bobcat got stuck in the mud and that set him back quite a bit of time but he did not try to tell me I had to pay more money because of it, he stuck to his estimate.  I was happy with the work he did and so when I needed to remove a very large pine tree from a location pretty close to my house, I hired him for that too. it was a huge tree and he removed it, roots and all for $800.   I don't remember the date but it was probably in 2005 or 2006.  He has also done trimming of my trees (lion's tailing) to reduce the possibility of having the trees blow over during a hurricane and  also to allow more sunlight to get to the lawn area.  I know it's been a long time since he worked for me, but if he is still doing business in the same way as before, I would definitely recommend him."

FAQs for gravel or loose fill paving install, spread or scrape projects in Milton, FL

To calculate how much pea gravel you need for your project, multiply the length, width, and depth of the area you want to cover to find the volume in cubic feet. Then, divide that number by 27 to convert it to cubic yards to determine the amount of pea gravel you need.

A yard of pea gravel weighs about 1.3 tons or 2,600 pounds. Keep in mind that wet gravel weighs more than dry, and different types of gravel can vary in weight. For example, due to its density, river rock weighs significantly more than crushed stone and pea gravel.

The ideal depth for pea gravel depends on the type and size of your project. You'll need at least two to three inches for walkways and patios and a minimum of six inches for driveways to support heavy vehicles and prevent shifting over time. Aim for a depth of three to four inches in decorative garden beds or drainage areas.

Pea gravel is attractive, versatile, and low-maintenance. It provides excellent drainage, making it ideal for pathways, driveways, and garden beds. On the downside, its sharp texture isn't ideal for bare feet, and it can be challenging to weed or remove once installed. It can also shift underfoot without proper edging, creating an uneven surface.

Alternative landscaping materials you can use instead of pea gravel include wood chips, decomposed granite, crushed stone, pebbles, quartz, mulch, sand, and river rock. These materials offer different aesthetics, performance, and costs, so it’s important to do your research to determine which one best fits your landscape design and budget.

Many homeowners choose pea gravel because it requires minimal upkeep compared to other landscaping materials. You'll need to rake it occasionally to redistribute the stones and maintain an even surface. Pros also recommend installing weed barrier fabric beneath the gravel to prevent unwanted growth, although some weeds may still appear over time.
