He also provided pictures of similar projects he had previously done to show me how it would be done. His crew showed up on time, knew what they were doing, kept the worksite clean. They replaced the beams and posts and painted them and the rest of the trim around the deck so it all matched. They removed the rust and painted the wrought iron railings around the upper deck and stairs and the gates leading to the back of my house. They also extended the concrete RV parking on the side of house so my RV would fit. I am extremely pleased with the work they did and the price for the work. He removed old pain pieces on frame, cut the screen he bought in half and screwed them to the bottom of each door. He then spray painted the doors white. The doors needed more paint, so he went to Home Depot again and bought additional cans of paint (12 in total). I got sick from the paint smell, so my sister took over. When he finished she paid him. When I was able to inspect the job, I saw a hole in one doors screen and long screws sticking out 3/4" on both screens. I sent hime a text message to his phone, but got no response, so I phoned him to discuss the matter. He said his drill slipped punching to hole in the screen and that's the only screws he had. He never mentioned advanced payment. I said I wasn?t comfortable but would certainly pay him as agreed for the job. He told me he wasn?t coming if I didn?t send him money first. For a handyman? Leave me waiting for a month then demand payment up front before doing one minute of work? Totally unprofessional!!! Time waster!"
