"He sent me pictures before and after which was nice to see the difference! He also does gutter repairs and filtration systems which I definitely will need in the future. It also didn’t break my budget which was a bonus. Thanks Reed!"

"Capsule summary: workman was great, communications and appraisal agent were terrible. Good price and good work, but a hassle to deal with.
RoofRx's process is to send an appraisal agent to check out your roof before they schedule the cleaning. There seems to be a goal to upsell; while I knew that I'd need to pay an extra $75 on top of my deal for $99 for 125 feet of gutter cleaning and repair, the appraiser who came to my house began by suggesting some additional sealing on the roof and came in at a figure of $500. When I said that I would stick with just the deal, he told me that that I would still owe a total of about $270. I was confused by this, as the visible perimeter of my gutters was about 100 feet. I asked him how we'd gotten to $270 dollars, but he didn't give me any detailed explanation. Instead, he told me that I had more than 125 feet of gutters and "that's just the service we do." When I said that I couldn't really afford to do that and would have to see if I could just get my money back for the deal, he snapped at me, saying that "if you just want the gutters cleaned like some neighborhood kid could do, we'll just do that."
I do believe that this was not typical service for RoofRx, because in fairness to them, when I emailed them with concerns about this appraisal, I got a call back the same day and the agent was apologetic. He didn't walk me through the appraisal step by step and said that he wasn't sure how the appraiser had gotten to his final figure, but I was able to piece together from his comments that (1) the full length of my downspouts was included in the foot-length of my gutters and (2) the fee for footage outside of the deal was roughly $3.50 per foot. I say roughly because no one from RoofRx ever gave me any of the details in writing. I was concerned from the appraiser's parting comments that they wouldn't do the inspection/repair listed in the deal; the agent who called told me that they would handle the full job for the deal price plus the $75 for having a two-story house. That seemed like a fair resolution.
Unfortunately, I didn't write down the agent's name, because I later was called again by an agent asking me if I wanted to purchase additional services / how much of the appraiser's suggested work I wanted done. I told the woman who called about the other agent's call, but she said that no notes had been left on my file. I emailed them with the phone number and time the agent called;  never heard back.
After that I heard from schedulers for the actual work. Because of the different responses from agents, I wasn't sure what they were going to do. When they bumped up my schedule to an earlier date, I asked the agent how to pay for the $75 two-story fee and asked to check what they were doing. He told me that my account was marked "services declined" or something similar, which I'm sure made sense within the company, but left me confused about which services they were providing and which they thought I had declined. I asked for an explanation, but the agent didn't give me specifics about which services they felt I had declined. As a result, until the work was actually done, I was still worried about whether they were completing all of it and whether they were going to charge me more.
Fortunately, the man who actually cleaned the gutters was great - friendly, helpful, and efficient. He took pictures of all of the gutters so that I could see that they had been cleaned, and he did a thorough and complete job.
I'd consider using the company again, but I would hesitate to buy a deal. I'd want something in writing so that I knew what I was getting and whether I could limit what was done - for example, just have them clean the pine needles out of my gutters and not worry about the downspouts, which are in great shape and don't need an extra $200 worth of service.

FAQs for galvanized gutters service projects in Modesto, CA

You don’t necessarily need to install gutters around your entire house. Gutters are essential on roof sections that collect and channel rainwater to protect your foundation and landscaping by diverting water efficiently. In areas without significant runoff, gutters may not be necessary, allowing you to avoid unnecessary installation while still maintaining proper drainage.

Steel gutters are more durable and have a modern appearance, but they're more expensive upfront. They offer a longer lifespan and handle more water than vinyl gutters. While vinyl gutters are cheaper initially, steel gutters provide better protection, require less maintenance, and manage heavy water flows effectively, safeguarding your home over time.

Gutter installation can be expensive due to the need for skilled professionals and specialized equipment to work safely at heights. Complex roof designs and steep angles require extra safety measures and precise workmanship, increasing labor costs. This ensures that gutters are installed securely to channel water away from your home effectively and prevent future damage.

Professional gutter installation typically takes one day under standard conditions. If facia repairs or adjustments are needed, the process may extend to two days. The work involves precise measurements, safe roof access, and careful alignment to direct water effectively. DIY installations may take at least two days due to preparation and working at heights.

High-quality gutters installed by professionals can last 20 to 50 years. Regular maintenance and cleaning prevent blockages and corrosion, extending their lifespan. Consistent care ensures your gutter system remains effective in protecting your home from water damage over the long term. Your gutter installation pro will provide you with maintenance and cleaning recommendations to help your gutters last longer.

Gutters should be cleaned one to two times per year to prevent clogs and water damage. Regular cleaning removes debris, leaves, and sediment, ensuring uninterrupted water flow away from your home. If you prefer not to do it yourself, hiring a professional gutter cleaner keeps your system in top condition and is a safer option.
