"Couldn't be happier with Jason and Deck Pro, quick quoting, responsive all throughout the process & just a very nice job done on the cleaning & staining of our fence. We used his suggestion on the color of the fence and couldn't be happier as well. Thank you Jason & will do business with again!"

"Fantastic. I have a considerable amount of landscape beds along with trees, which presents a large amount of cleanup every fall. I had Brian out last week for the final cleanup and I must say I now have the cleanest yard in all of Irvington. If you need some cleanup work, give Brian a call."

"Mr. Tom Meador arrived at our home the day after I phoned him.  He brought a swim ladder if I wanted to replace the damaged ladder then looked at the dock and the float.  He replaced the damaged ladder, removed several deck boards, re-positioned the float then  re-attached the deck boards.  Mr. Meador obviously knew what he had to do, wasted no time and inspected the dock and all floats.  Great job! <br /> I recommend Meador Dock to anyone who needs dock repairs or wants a new dock! <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I was going to have them build my deck. I actually gave them a down payment. The start date got delayed, so I ended up going with another company. I have nothing but positive things to say. It's an amazing organization. The quotes were very professional. The owner, Tom Booker really explained the different options that were available and which materials to use. To make a long story short, there were some weather delays, and it kept getting pushed out. I had just moved into a new house. I had patio furniture in my driveway that had already been there for months. The company that had put my fence in quoted me for a deck, and it was going to be $6000 cheaper, and they could start immediately. I had them end up doing it, but I have to say that part of me wishes I would've had The Deck Store do it because there were some workmanship issues with the other company I used, and I am confident the deck that The Deck Store built would've been perfect. There was no charge for the estimate. I actually went to their store with pictures. I never had anybody come out. I gave them blueprints of my house. They gave me a 3D drawing of what the deck would look like. It was way better than any estimate I got. It is a very, very professional organization. The only issue with the company is that they are in such demand and there is a wait time. He will not rush a job. He does it right. I knew going in that it was going to be a 12 week wait and then it kept getting pushed out past that. It started getting close to fall and winter so I started to get worried. I was planning to use them. I signed a contract with them. In fact, I have thought about them coming out and looking at some of these workmanship issues and fixing them."

FAQs for deck, fence, patio or porch clean and seal projects in Monrovia, IN

You should clean your deck before sealing it. Cleaning before refinishing is critical. If you don’t remove dirt and debris, you'll trap moisture in the wood, which prevents the new sealer from working correctly and can lead to costly repairs. Whether you need to sand, power wash, or sandblast depends on your deck's condition.

Sealing and staining your deck are essential maintenance methods that protect and beautify your outdoor space. Stain adds rich color and guards against fading, while sealant fortifies the wood against moisture and weather damage. Wood type, climate, deck age, and the degree of existing damage determine whether your deck benefits from one or both treatments. Using both options extends your deck’s durability and enhances its overall appearance.

Power washing and sealing your deck costs $500 to $1,700. This process combines the removal of stubborn dirt and debris with a protective seal that preserves the wood’s integrity. Effective cleaning eliminates harmful buildup, and a proper seal prevents moisture damage and wood decay, ensuring long-term durability and reducing future repair expenses.

Your deck must be sealed every one to three years to maintain its strength and appearance. Regular sealing is essential to protect the wood against moisture, mold, and harmful UV rays. A consistent sealing schedule prevents rapid deterioration and costly repairs. Inspections should be performed annually to determine if the protective layer remains intact, extending the life of your deck.

Leaving your deck untreated compromises its structural integrity and safety. An unprotected deck rots quickly due to moisture and environmental exposure, which means that neglecting sealing results in rapid decay and expensive replacement costs of $4,125 to $11,650. Sealing your deck is essential for maintaining its durability and protecting your home.

The sealant on your deck dries within a few hours and reaches full cure within 72 hours before regular use. It is essential to wait until the complete curing period to ensure the protective layer fully sets and resists weather and foot traffic. Proper drying guarantees that your deck is fully protected against moisture and environmental damage, ensuring lasting quality.
