"GFG responded within an hour to a quote request on Home Advisor and owner Mr. Drake provided me with a quote that was $500 less than the quote from the Home Depot contractor. Mr. Drake was professional, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions and concerns. After I decided to upgrade to a better water heater with a longer warranty the GFG quote was still $300 cheaper than the Home Depot quote. We scheduled an installation for the following Monday even though Mr. Drake was ready to do it the next morning. At 8:17 Monday morning Frank showed up with the new water heater and immediately went to work. Frank was very personable, easy to talk to, answered all my questions, and explained what he was going to do before he did it. I like to learn and Frank was an excellent teacher and did not mind my intrusions. Since Prattville (and maybe the entire state) now require temperature expansion device (tank or valve) on new water heater installs I was a little concerned about where the tank would go and how it would look. Frank had to do some re plumbing to accommodate the new expansion tank and the 2.5" taller water heater. Everything looks great and the setup looks much more professional and squared away than the job done by the previous plumber. I am a very picky person and this installation exceeded my expectations. "I compared prices and since they had serviced old unit before, they provided a much better price than any of the competitors. In addition they took off the cost of the Thermostat when I went and bought a Wi-Fi thermostat -- and still took the time to install the system that wasn't theirs. They were punctual and professional, as well as accurate their time needed for installation. They provided regarding aspects of insulation and installation of unit. "I specified that it was a tankless water heater, yet not surprisingly I was referred to a plumber who didn't know anything about tankless heaters, resulting in a waste of a couple of days. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

"After removing all the cabinet doors, they began prepping the outside of the cabinets. And then began cutting and gluing, which is a white laminate, to the outside.  Their application and cutting were very precise and very well done.  All doors and hardware were attached.

Next they proceeded with the countertops.  Since we were not installing granite, just new Formica, they were able the remove the old Formica and then lay the new on the existing base.

They then proceeded to install the new garbage disposal, double sink and faucet set.

The product is holding up very well.  I was a bit leery of going with white, but that's what I wanted, and I am extremely pleased at how easy it is to keep clean.  It still looks brand new!

We have nothing but praise for Sears and their personnel.  The saleslady was extremely helpful in guiding me to make the right choices.  As I said previously, we are also very pleased with the installers.  They would be welcomed into our home for more work if needed.

They did a complete and excellent cleanup, including hauling away the old cabinet doors for disposal.  Overall, I think the job took only two (or three) days.

Overall we are extremely pleased with the job.  Not only has it added value to our home, but it has added value to our enjoyment of our home.  

Price wise, they were over two other estimates.  However, those were individual contractors; we weren't able to check them out. The extra we paid was well worth the security we felt by dealing with a well known company and knowing if a problem occurred, they would make it right.  The difference in the estimates was only about $2,000.00."
