     I just want to say how nice it was for Calkins Electric to bring my electrical issues up to date with the current code. They replaced the breaker panel, breakers, installed gfci outlets, installed a new box on the outside of the house, replaced the heavy electrical cable running down the side of the house into the new box, and labeled each breaker in the panel. I'm in the process of selling my ranch and needed these issues fixed as soon as possible. I went on Angie's List and found Calkins Electric and gave them a call. We made the appointment and they came as scheduled and on time. They made the proper arrangements for the power to be shut off at the house and they did the entire job in only one day. I was also given $100 off (5%) for being an Angie's List member. If your looking for professional electrical work to be done at an affordable price, Calkins Electric is a great choice. By the way, they didn't have any issues accepting a credit card. I ended up paying my deposit with a check and the remainder with a credit card when the work was complete. They also contacted the inspector and had all their work inspected - I didn't have to make any phone calls to anyone. I hope this review was helpful.

"Jeramey was on time and professional and worked quickly. He installed everything I needed for a detached shed and mini split heat pumps for the house. He also fit in some smaller projects like making several electrical boxes around the house that were wiggling nice and tight again. I had previously tried to fix those myself, and the repair didn't last long. He listened well, and made appropriate recommendations. All his work has stood the test of time. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

Wes and his crew worked around a plumber and some work I was doing in the kitchen without problem or complaint. Most expensive of quotes I received, but Wes was willing to come down on price a bit, and glad we went with him. Very satisfied with the final result.
