"The existing roof on the house and garage was torn off, new sheet decking installed on top of old board decking of the house, new flashing, drip edge, shingles installed on house and garage. Installed new ridge vent on house. Some of the siding that needed to be removed to install flashing was damaged as can happen but was replaced with new. It was a difficult roof with multiple dormer windows and odd angles but they did a careful job and I've received many compliments on the appearance from neighbors. Good job with clean up too. The owner is easy to reach and quick to reply to all questions I had. From day I asked for quote until day completely finished was under 5 weeks. Without hesitation I'd recommend them to others. Competitively priced compared to two other bids."

I offered to give them to him he said he would be back and he never came, gave them to someone I knew I could not communicate with the workers due to language barrier. They did really good with roofing, they laced out tarp to catch nails and clean up was great."

"After seeing the Big Deal for a new roof in my email, I contacted JPR and asked for an estimate to see how much overage my house would be, due to size and the steepness of the roof.  Joe came to our house the following day and was wonderful in speaking with us about the possibilities.  We had him include in the estimate, not only the new roof, but also a new guttering system around our entire house.  The estimate he gave was very reasonable.
Joe arranged with us a time to begin work on our home.  When the crew arrived, they got straight to work.  There were several people working on our house and arrangements had already been made with the City of Lawrence for an inspector to come, once the roofing was removed, to check the decking, as indicated by the permit.  Only a few pieces of decking were needed, which they quickly replaced and continued installing the new roof.
 
In the end, the roof looks fabulous, the guttering has already proven itself with the first storm and we are very glad we used JPR.  I would certainly be willing to use them again in the future for other needs.  I would recommend them to others.

"Our brick ranch house was in need of TLC on the old fiber board siding, which my wife and I have painted four times ourselves. We wanted to make the exterior maintenance free with a good quality vinyl siding. We contacted five separate companies, four of which were listed in Angie’s list, to get estimates. We chose The Home Improvement Co. They were neither the highest nor the lowest estimate. We based our decision on the reviews in Angie’s list, pictures of the work that had been accomplished on other jobs, and Matt’s straight forward honest presentation. Matt convinced us that one of the most important details of this work is an experienced crew that knows how to work with the material. We had chosen the insulated backed vinyl siding. The crew (Kevin and Rueben) and Matt arrived Friday and started the demolition on the west side of the house. We were having all the old siding removed and replaced with new board, moisture barrier, and the vinyl siding. They completed that side including cleanup in one day. The whole job was completed by the following Friday. The crew was great. They were friendly and professional, and they worked well together as a team. They answered any question we had and honored any request we made. They also wrapped all the windows and doors with aluminum coil. They transformed the exterior of our home. We are completely satisfied. We comment to each other every time we pull into the driveway how good our home looks now. We still plan on replacement windows and a new back door. "Waters impressed us from the initial meeting when they assessed our roof to the final product. They found our roof had sustained wind damage and they were present when our insurance adjuster arrived to answer any questions he might have. They found additional damage during the process, Waters worked the insurance, we dealt with insurance very little. They cleaned the area each day to the point our yard and driveway actually looked better than it did prior to the work being started. They also suggested upgrades that not only improved the quality of the roof, but will save us money on our home owners insurance. The final product was a beautiful roof. We will not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them."

"From the sales bid to completion, everything was perfect! Neil was knowledgeable and very pleasant to talk to in regards to price and installation concerns. Everything was in writing and the install went as expected. The install was FANTASTIC!! Tommy was very meticulous and methodical! If you are worried about a mess left behind you won’t need to worry about that... he was always cleaning up as he went. "Again, I have only good things to say about the company.  Brad again came out to discuss the work that we wanted down and provided me with an estimate.  Once the windows had arrived, work was completed promptly.  There was a problem with one of the screens noted at installation (but the installer) and he has ordered a new one (really this is minor).  There are two changes from last year:  the window equivalent to what was installed then has now been upgraded (so we actually had a slightly better window installed) and the installation people that came used a much milder smelling glue in installation (so no strong toluene odor - and likely a "greener" choice).  Both changes were for the better.  We are very happy and will use the same company with the replacement of our last 4 windows in the future."
